Originally released in 2004, the scale figure that gave rise to the PVC figure boom, Kasumi: C2 ver., has been completely recreated using the latest techniques and technologies. While maintaining the fine details of the original sculpt by Hiroki Katayama, the figure mold has been completely remade. Additionally, several new details only possible with technology available today have been added in, such as the cherry blossom pattern and pearl finish of her outfit, her slightly translucent tights and the detailed pattern on her wrist and shin guards.
