Steven Grant (born October 22, 1953) is an American comic book writer who scripted the comic adaptation of Alien3 and wrote the crossover comics X: Comeback and X: Hell Night for Dark Horse Comics. In the comics field, Grant is most known for his work on Marvel Comics' The Punisher in the 1980s, specifically his 1985-1986 Marvel Comics mini-series Punisher, with artist Mike Zeck. He is also known for his creator-owned indie comics character Whisper.

Brian Herbert is the son of legendary science fiction author Frank Herbert and has written the definitive biography of him, Dreamer of Dune, a finalist for the Hugo Award.
