The Monster Art of Basil Gogos was produced under a partnership between FantaCo and Basil Gogos' wife, Linda. This agreement gave us access to all of Basil's private sketches and illustrations for some of his most famous paintings, as well as many hundreds of preliminary sketches for never published projects. This book will show you how Basil used his sketches to create his wonderful paintings. It is arranged by monster (Wolfman, Creature, Dracula, Frankenstein, etc.) so it will be easy to find your favorite! Basil's wife has written the introduction and has added commentary explaining many of the images. This is both a book for fans of Basil Gogos and for artists who want a glimpse into the creative mind of one of the genre's most beloved artists. This book was a labor of love for all involved.
