The Legend of Korra takes place seventy years after the events of Avatar: The Last Airbender and follows the next Avatar after Aang-a girl named Korra who is from the Southern Water Tribe. With three of the four elements under her belt (earth, water, and fire), Korra seeks to master air. We have themed our initial product releases to the symbols of these four elements, as designed by show creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko and the Nickelodeon creative team. Dark Horse has licensed rights to create figures based on Powers, the creator-owned series of comics and graphic novels by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Michael Avon Oeming. The Retro Girl statue will be sculpted by Tony Cipriano, working in concert with Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming, who created special art for the statue. Forrest J Ackerman, commonly known to fans as 'Forry', comes to life in this colorful 13' tall statue. Forry was the creator, editor and principal writer for Famous Monsters of Filmland, a magazine that influenced generations while spreading the love of the horror genre he was also known for his 'Ackermansion,' a sprawling house in Los Angeles that held his extensive horror book and memorabilia collection. For fifty years, Forry shared his collection with fans during open-house events. As an agent, writer, editor, and actor, he had far-reaching influence in the science fiction, horror, and fantasy community.
