At the forefront of Kotobukiya's new ARTFX Premier series is the god of thunder, Thor Odinson from Marvel's Avengers Fresh Start series! This 1/10 scale statue was crafted down to the finest detail using digital sculpting, giving this expertly crafted collector's piece an exquisite appearance alongside lifelike detail. The craftsmanship in this piece continues from the sculpting to the painting. Unlike other pieces which follow the pattern of a simple base coat with shading. ARTFX Premier re-evaluates the standards for figure painting. Each individual piece of the statue is layered with several types of paint, giving the finished product an unprecedented sense of beauty and depth. With these techniques in mind, Kotobukiya's craftsmen imagined what kind of materials may come out of the realm of Asgard to create the unique paint job on Thor's metal and leather armor, which transforms in color depending on the angle as it catches light. Measuring just under 3.5 centimeters (1.5 inches) in length, the statue's face is meticulously crafted and full of photographic lifelike detail. The statue comes in sophisticated packaging overflowing with elegant details, including a marble inspired motif as well as an original illustration based on the figure. Additionally, these limited edition statues will come with a certificate that includes a collector number printed in gold, certifying each piece as a one-of-a-kind original. Elite soldiers in the Galactic Empire, the Death Troopers wear a unique and singularly menacing version of the classic Stormtrooper armor with several important differences. In addition to added equipment and ammo the helmet features an elongated faceplate, but of course the most obvious change is instead of the bright white of the standard armor it has a diabolical jet black finish! Serving the Emperor's Military Intelligence, Death Troopers were tasked with rooting out Rebels and a contingent answered to Director Orson Krennic around the time of the theft of the Death Star plans.The ARTFX+ Death Troopers are highly detailed both in sculpt and paint, with glossy black finishes on their intricate armor. They can even be displayed in different poses (standing, kneeling, aiming weapons, etc.) thanks to a plethora of included interchangeable parts! The second character recreated in the fantastic 1/10-scale ARTFX+ format is everyone's favorite nefarious villain, Oswald Chesterfield 'Penguin' Cobblepot! Ready to take down a rival mob boss or inflict permanent harm on someone who called him 'Penguin,' Oswald Cobblepot has never looked more dashing or dangerous. The Gotham City gangster stands in a relaxed pose, leaning over one leg with the other kicked out... and of course his feet are splayed outward representing the gait that contributed to his nickname. Penguin wears a fancy black suit with shiny shoes, a spiffy yellow inner lining in his jacket, purple checkered vest, white shirt, and black crossover tie with red gem. Actor Robin Lord Taylor's soulful yet determined expression is expertly recreated in miniature and this Cobblepot looks like he just stepped right off the screen. Kotobukiya's Star Wars lineup returns to the 1/7 scale ARTFX statues with none other than Darth Vader! The character was created by George Lucas and numerous actors have portrayed him. His appearances span all six Star Wars films, and he is an important character in the expanded universe of television series, video games, novels, literature and comic books. The films establish that there was originally a Jedi Knight named Anakin who fell to the dark side of the Force; he is also revealed to be the father of both Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia Organa, the two main protagonists of the original trilogy. After turning to the Dark Side of the Force, Vader is a ruthless henchman of Emperor Palpatine; he secretly intends to overthrow Palpatine to establish himself as ruler of the Empire. Vader is ultimately redeemed in Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, when he sacrifices himself to save his son, Luke. Darth Vader is presented in his original costume as seen in STAR WARS Episode IV: A NEW HOPE. Vader stands in a commanding pose, the lights on his chest plate and belt doing little to penetrate the dark aura of his presence. A mercenary who is proficient with any bladed weapon or firearm and yet petrified of death, Wade Wilson underwent a variety of changes when he was injected with an artificial version of Wolverine's healing factor that transformed him into one of the most dangerous heroes, Deadpool! Sculpted in an aggressive combat pose, this 1/6-scale rendition of the boisterous hero stands just over 12' tall. Deadpool stands atop a rusted catwalk base that evokes the atmosphere of a battle inside an abandoned factory plant. The statue also comes with an assortment of the hero's favorite weapons, with holsters for his katanas, three handguns, and the knife he keeps in the sheath on his right leg, as well as interchangeable hand parts allowing him to hold the weapons.
