In partnership with Rebellion and the Nacelle Company, Oni Press is proud to present the wreckage-strewn collision of the 22nd-century’s most feared lawman against its hardest-charging mutant outlaws—Mega-City One’s JUDGE DREDD versus the Red Planet’s BIKER MICE FROM MARS—in a no-holds-barred showdown for supremacy! From blockbuster writers Dan Watters (M.A.S.K., Batman: Dark Patterns) & Ryan O’Sullivan (Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War) and supercharged artist Jordi Tarragona (Injustice: Gods Among Us), maximum thrill power meets maximum attitude as the decade’s most unexpected crossover event starts here with 48 pages of deluxe format fury! Across the frayed cordons of space-time, the greed-fueled oligarchs Limburger and Karbunkle have identified a strange new world to plunder, but they never anticipated that Throttle, Vinnie, and Modo—the extraterrestrial antiheroes known as the BIKER MICE FROM MARS—would dare to foil their latest cross-dimensional conquest: the smog-clogged metropolis known as Mega-City One. Now, the Martian brothers and their bikes are stranded between blocks in Mega-City’s endless, chaotic sprawl . . . alongside 400 million citizens who want them dead and the one man committed to delivering them to justice at any cost: the unforgiving JUDGE DREDD! The law has no place for vermin on Mega-City One’s streets . . . but when the Biker Mice’s otherworldly abilities draw the gaze of the inhuman entity called Judge Death, man and mouse alike will be caught in the crosshairs!

WHEN YOU’RE A COP IN THE YEAR 2142, YOU CAN’T AFFORD TO TRUST ANYONE . . . NOT YOUR PARTNER, NOT YOUR SPOUSE, NOT EVEN YOURSELF! From rising star Jordan Thomas (Mugshots) and powerhouse artist Daniel Gete (Biker Mice from Mars), the hyper-kinetic, near-future action epic SKIN POLICE returns with AN ALL-NEW JUMPING-ON POINT that begins with a no-holds-barred turning point for a world where morally gray law enforcement, black market illegal cloning, and political strife are about to boil over in a hail of gunfire . . . Agents Eckis and Sheen swore an oath to protect the civilian population from the eminent danger of the rogue black market clones known as “Dupes” that can suddenly “pop” without any advance warning—which means any passerby on the street or subway could possibly become an unhinged spree killer on a moment’s notice. In return for their service, however, the public has dubbed Eckis, Sheen, and their fellow agents the “Skin Police”—an insult handed back by a populace unwilling to sacrifice their own civil rights for the agents’ unprecedented duties in light of the Dupe threat. But what if these illegally manufactured clones doppelgängers weren’t as deadly as initially believed? What if they could be saved? And, as the underground resistance movement supporting them grows, what if their leader proved to be someone uncomfortably familiar to the Skin Police? (immagine) Categoria: Comics

SINS OF THE PAST DON’T STAY BURIED . . . THEY ALWAYS FIND A WAY OF RISING FROM THE GRAVE! From Eisner Award–nominated writer and master storyteller Rodney Barnes (Batman: Full Moon, Killadelphia) and phenomenal artist Elia Bonetti (Death of Wolverine: The Logan Legacy), enter a century-spanning tale of suspense and sorrow as true crime meets shocking terror inside an infamous asylum with a tortured past in this double-sized, 48-page debut . . . Founded at the turn of the 20th century outside of Annapolis, Maryland, the Crownsville Hospital was a notoriously segregated, all-Black psychiatric institute. After decades of overcrowding and neglect—alongside darker, more-persistent rumors of patient abuse and illegal medical experiments—it was finally closed. Today, it stands condemned—a crumbling testament to a legacy of all-too-real terror inflicted on a marginalized and vulnerable community. But even as a ruin of its former self, Crownsville still casts a long shadow. . . . When an unexplained death inside the abandoned hospital is ruled a suicide, Annapolis police detective Mike Simms and journalist Paul Blairare are compelled to dig deeper, only to discover the reality of the horrors that once took place there . . . and the powerful connection they share to the anguished spirits of the dead that are still locked within its walls. Dig deeper into one of the most banned books in America with this annotated edition of Maia Kobabe's seminal autobiographical work. In 2014, Maia Kobabe—who uses e/em/eir pronouns—thought that a comic of reading statistics would be the last autobiographical comic e would ever write. At the time, it was the only thing e felt comfortable with strangers knowing about em. Then e created Gender Queer. Maia's intensely cathartic autobiography charts eir journey of self-identity, which includes the mortification and confusion of adolescent crushes, grappling with how to come out to family and society, bonding with friends over erotic gay fan fiction, and facing the trauma and fundamental violation of pap smears. Started as a way to explain to eir family what it means to be nonbinary and asexual, Gender Queer is more than a personal story: It is a useful and touching guide on gender identity—what it means and how to think about it—for advocates, friends, and humans everywhere. This special annotated edition calls on voices from academic and creative communities to further shed light on Kobabe's work—exploring the technicalities of comic creation, the history of the LGBTQIA+ community, and highlighting personal anecdotes from a host of writers and artists discussing their own experiences growing up queer. Featuring commentary from designer and animator Phoebe Kobabe (The ABCs of Identities), cartoonist Ashley R. Guillory (Queers at the Table), Dr. Sandra Cox (professor of English at Southwest Missouri State University), Matthew Noe (Lead Collection & Knowledge Management Librarian at Harvard Medical School), author Hal Schrieve (Fawn's Blood), and many more, this beautiful hardcover edition promises to be a wonderful educational tool for years to come.
