New stories in the world of The Beauty, the hit comic series that inspired the forthcoming television series from Ryan Murphy and FX! Agent Crayton can’t outrun his past, not as long as The Abernathy knows what he did and holds him in their grip. Is the price they are attempting to extract from him too high, or can he live with the harm helping them will do to the people around him? Things aren’t so bad for Kelvin Frost, however. The weather man has gotten the Beauty, and he’s already discovering how the disease can change your life in a myriad of ways--from the gorgeous girl he’s now having a fling with to the police knocking on his door wondering what he knows about the death of the man who helped him get the virus. You see, it’s a disease that comes with consequences, but that doesn’t stop people from wanting to get it. Or seeing a necessity for it. Whether you’re an aging football star like Skottie or a highly paid thief like Nox, sometimes you’re going to do what you have to do to get ahead. Storylines begin to converge in this all-new arc of The Beauty, the renowned indie comic from writers Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley, with knockout art by Emanuela Lupacchino (World’s Finest: Teen Titans). Featuring new covers by both Haun and Lupacchino.

A haunting tale from Stephanie Williams (Nubia & the Amazons) and Letizia Cadonici (House of Slaughter). At the turn of the 20th century, a young Black woman named Etta picks up the tradition of her late mother for creating special medicines using natural ingredients and secrets handed down from generation to generation. Her mother has passed on a book of recipes and formulas, but it’s also full of strange symbols and dark musings that she doesn’t quite understand. Within her community, one of the problems she hopes to fix is counteracting the poisonous and abrasive solutions Black women and girls are sold for straightening their hair. So, when the Meridian Fellowship reaches out and offers her a spot at their institute in Savannah, GA, to use their facilities to do her research, Etta jumps at the chance. She packs up her mother’s book and heads to the sprawling establishment, but what she finds is a place surrounded by natural wonders that may point the way to understanding the more mysterious parts of her mother’s work…if dark forces don’t claim her first. Inspired by the life of Madame CJ Walker, this alternate history combines tradition with cosmic horror for something truly modern and unique. Featuring main covers by illustrator Juliet Nneka, whose illustrative work has appeared on prose novels, comics like Absolute Green Lantern and Wonder Woman, and in galleries. "

Ballerina mech pilots Mar and Rhea have survived to enter the last year of their brutal training at the Conservatory. Now, their unbreakable bond is tested. Only one senior student will be given the title of “Prima Apparata” along with the life-or-death lead role of Appolyta in a final battle performance to appease the Patrons. With their natural talents and motivations increasingly at odds in the studio, Mar and Rhea pursue two very different—but equally creative and reckless—acts of rebellion to claim control of their fates. A new realm is accessed, an advantage unlocked, and we get one step closer to Appolyta herself as Olivia Dufault and Rebekah Isaacs’ celestial ballet mech saga continues!
