Jess Harrold is a British writer and journalist specializing in property law and super heroes, though not usually both at the same time. He has worked for Marvel for more than a decade, contributing extensively to Marvel Spotlight as well as other magazines and books. On the return of Star Wars to the House of Ideas, Harrold wrote celebratory art collections Star Wars: The Marvel Covers, Star Wars: A New Hope — the 40th Anniversary and The Marvel Art of Star Wars. He produced retrospectives of three of the industry’s most popular artists in The Marvel Art of Skottie Young, The Marvel Art of George Pérez and The Marvel Art of Adam Kubert, as well as a visual history of an iconic character with Black Panther: Visions of Wakanda. Writer Christopher Priest has penned many Marvel titles — including Falcon, Power Man and Iron Fist, Conan the Barbarian, Deadpool and The Crew — but he is best known for his stunning revitalization of Black Panther for the Marvel Knights line. Priest co-founded Milestone Comics and co-created the fan-favorite Quantum and Woody for Acclaim Comics. Priest’s later Marvel credits include Captain America & the Falcon, Spider-Force and U.S.Agent.Joe Quesada became Marvel’s editor in chief in 2000, instilling an excitement and buzz that had been lacking for years. Quesada began as an artist at Valiant and DC during the early 1990s and soon co-founded Event Comics, introducing original characters Ash and Painkiller Jane. By 1998, Quesada’s reputation as both artist and publisher led to the founding of Marvel’s groundbreaking Marvel Knights imprint, with Quesada illustrating the flagship book, Daredevil.
