Christian Ward is a UK-based illustrator, comic artist, and writer. Some of his clients include Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Dark Horse Comics, EPIC Games, and the Guardian, among others. After 10 years of encouraging London teenagers to draw anything other than comics, Ward is now a multi-Eisner-winning comic book artist and writer. He is best known for his cosmic space operas ODY-C, cocreated with Matt Fraction, and the Eisner-winning Invisible Kingdom, cocreated with G Willow Wilson. He was also the artist on the acclaimed Marvel Comics series Black Bolt (with Saladin Ahmed), as well contributing to both Thor (with Jason Arron ) and Batman (with James Tynion). In 2019, he released his first book as a writer, Machine Gun Wizards, cocreated with Sami Kivelä, and Blood Stained Teeth, cocreated with Patric Reynolds. He was hailed by ComicsBeat as “one of the most exciting comic auteurs working in comics today."
