In the modern days, Wenwu kept seeking power, finding the ancient city of Ta Lo, which was said to contain mystic beasts that could expand his powers. He fell in love with a guardian of Ta Lo, Ying Li, with whom he had two children, Shang-Chi and Xu Xialing. After the death of his beloved wife, he trained Shang- Chi from his childhood to avenge her death but was abandoned by his own son, who rebelled. Hearing the voice of his deceased wife and believing that she was alive and being kept as a prisoner in Ta Lo, he mobilized his army to invade and breach the Dark Gate, a dimensional passageway next to the mystic village of Ta Lo, that keeps Earth safe from a hostile race of winged creatures that feed on souls. But, after facing his son, and realizing he was being manipulated by the forces of the soul-consuming demon, The Dweller-in-Darkness, Wenwu sacrificed himself to protect Shang-Chi, passing the Ten Rings to him. Remy LeBeau is a mutant from New Orleans who was trained to be the leader of the Thieves Guild. Banished from his clan, he eventually joined the X-Men under the codename Gambit, becoming a valuable member of the team. Remy soon fell in love with his fellow X-Men, Rogue, with mutual feelings. Gambit has the ability to charge objects with explosive kinetic energy that his body produces from non-organic matter. After escaping from the facility where he was imprisoned, he was taken in by Heather Hudson and her husband James, members of Alpha Flight, a government-sanctioned group considered the Canadian equivalent of the Avengers. After helping him deal with his lost past, Logan joined Alpha Flight. Feeling that the Canadians were using him as a weapon, he accepted Professor Charles Xavier's offer to leave and join the X-Men, a group of peacekeeping mutant soldiers fighting for mutant rights. Wolverine possesses heightened senses and accelerated healing abilities, as well as an Adamantium skeleton and implanted claws. Because of this, Wolverine appears much younger than he actually is. Iron Studios presents the statue "Rhino - Spider-man vs Villains Diorama - BDS Art Scale 1/10", featuring one of the strongest and most brutal villains from Spider-Man's rogues' gallery, as part of another diorama by Iron Studios inspired by Marvel Comics. Originally just another Russian mafia thug, clinging to dreams of easy money and heading towards a short and brutal life, Aleksei Sytsevich was seduced by promises of wealth and power and underwent a series of life-threatening chemical and gamma radiation treatments over several months to transform him into an agent with superhuman strength for a group of professional spies; to some extent, this was also made to support his family. Permanently bonded to his physical form, Aleksei received a powerful armor modeled after a rhinoceros' skin. Under the codename Rhino, his first mission was to kidnap the astronaut John Jameson, son of the Daily Bugle editor J. Jonah Jameson, and sell him to the highest bidder. However, Aleksei turned against his allies, destroyed their headquarters, and tried to kidnap Jameson on his own, but was defeated by Spider-Man. Becoming a recurring archenemy of the Friendly Neighborhood hero, despite his below-average intelligence, Rhino underwent more treatments to further enhance his strength, and his suit was upgraded with improvements that enabled him to face even the Hulk, without forgetting his grudge against his first arachnid enemy. Created by Stan Lee and John Romita Sr., his first appearance was in The Amazing Spider-Man #41 in October 1966.
