Created by comics great Dave Stevens as an homage to classic pulp heroes of the 30's and 40's, The Rocketeer became an instant classic. The retro tale of stunt pilot Cliff Secord as told through Stevens' brilliant artwork caught the attention of Walt Disney Studios, and in 1991 the character found his way to the silver screen. The Rocketeer is seen here blasting off over a brushed metal, logo base, leaving a cloud of art deco smoke (evocative of the classic movie poster). Standing approximately 16' tall, each piece is hand-cast in high-quality polystone and hand-painted to exacting standards.
