The most beloved and famous bear in the world began his career in the 1920's literary works of English novelist A.A. Milne, illustrated by Ernest H. Sheppard. In the early 1960's, Walt Disney acquired the exclusive film rights to the Pooh stories and brought the honey-loving bear to worldwide audiences through the art of animation. Disney artists have referenced an early Disney animation character model sheet used by animators in rendering Pooh in selecting this commemorative pose of the Hundred-Acre Wood denizen, and a small format lithograph of this model sheet is included for you in the sculpture box.
