EVERMIND is co-written by its creators, illustrator Sean Chen and actor-producer Daniel Wu. Sean Chen is an acclaimed comic artist with more than three decades of experience, known for defining runs on Valiant's X-O Manowar and Marvel's Iron Man, Wolverine, and Avengers. EVERMIND is his first major creator-owned work as both writer and artist. Daniel Wu is a Hong Kong-American actor, director, and producer with over 60 films across a 25-year career, known for AMC's Into the Badlands, Warcraft, and Disney+'s American Born Chinese. A lifelong sci-fi fan making his comics writing debut, Wu lent his own likeness to EVERMIND's protagonist, Lucas Zhang. Together, he and Chen are building an original franchise designed to live across comics, film, and television.Sean Chen is one of the most accomplished illustrators of his generation, with a career spanning more than three decades at the top of the industry. Discovered by the legendary Barry Windsor-Smith, he broke in at Valiant Comics during the 1990s boom; his debut, Rai and the Future Force #9, sold over 900,000 copies, and he went on to define the look of Valiant's flagship X-O Manowar alongside work on Harbinger and Bloodshot. He then found a long home at Marvel, where his celebrated multi-year run on Iron Man, plus standout work on Wolverine, Elektra, the Avengers, Nova, and X-Men: The End, cemented his reputation for dynamic storytelling and precise, architectural draftsmanship.
