esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.
edited by Gary Groth & Eric Reynolds THE PREMIER ANTHOLOGY OF LITERARY COMICS Since its inception in 2005, Mome has overlapped the contemporary graphic novel scene, the literary world, and the graphic arts community by serving as a McSweeney's of comics for those who want a vibrant, quarterly sampler of the best the medium has to offer. Whether exposing new talent like Eleanor Davis (author of the recent Stinky by Toon Books) or Tom Kaczynski; featuring short stories by contemporary graphic novelists like Dash Shaw (The Bottomless Belly Button) or Paul Hornschemeier (The Three Paradoxes); bringing the work of international superstars like David B. (Epileptic) or Killoffer (676 Apparitions of Killoffer) to American audiences; or introducing the work of legends like Gilbert Shelton (The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers) to a new generation of readers, Mome is the most acclaimed, accessible, frequent, and reasonably priced anthology on the market despite its high production values and mostly color format. Upcoming issues include, in addition to those named above: Jonathan Bennett, Sophie Crumb, Andrice Arp, Kurt Wolfgang, Joe Kimball, Ray Fenwick, Tim Hensley, Al Columbia, Jon Vermilyea, Sara Edward-Corbett, Robert Goodin, Laura Park, Nate Neal, Olivier Schrauwen, Derek Van Gieson, Conor O'Keefe, and other surprises. The wild adventures of the first Disney star created just for comics- and Donald Duck's hilarious funny-page debut! 1932 saw the launch of Disney's second-ever original comic strip, the full-color weekly Silly Symphonies, and with it came the debut of Bucky Bug, a daring, rhyming, mischievous squirt whose escapades took him from brutal birds of prey to the terrifying trenches of the Great Flyburg War! With his brave lady friend June and bumpkin pal Bo, Bucky even travels to a mixed-up Mother Goose Land… where a not-so-merry Old King Cole has mayhem on his mind! Now in this latest stand-alone Disney reprint collection, readers can follow all of Bucky's adventures and the Symphonies Sunday sagas that followed, which also includes Donald Duck's debut as the barnyard's spoilt brat in 'The Wise Little Hen'… and further tales of golden age Silly Symphony cartoon stars: egotistical Max Hare, slow-but-sure Toby Tortoise, and that awful bandit Dirty Bill (who 'never took a bath, and he never will!'). A showcase of innovative Brazilian comics, curated by acclaimed artist Rafael Grampá and comics editor Janaina de Luna. American audiences have grown familiar with international comix through an influx of European bande dessinee and Japanese manga that has been translated into English over the past two decades. But there are vivacious creative scenes happening worldwide, notably in Brazil, the largest country in South America and fifth-largest country in the world. Braba aims to rectify this cultural blind spot with a single-volume showcase of innovative Brazilian comics, expertly curated by acclaimed cartoonist Rafael Grampá (Batman: Gargoyle of Gotham) and respected Brazilian comics editor Janaina de Luna. Produced by Fantagraphics in collaboration with Brazilian publisher MINO, this extraordinary collection of 13 short stories created by 16 pioneering Brazilian cartoonists encapsulates a thriving and thrilling comics scene. Braba unites a diverse array of voices and styles under a unifying theme: deeply personal stories from experimental cartoonists. Each artist's unique vision with their stylized short stories contribute to the rich cultural tapestry of Brazilian comics. The contributors to Braba include Amanda Miranda, Bruno Seelig, Diego Sanchez, Gabriel Goes, Jefferson Costa, Jéssica Groke, Sirlene Barbosa, João Pinheiro, Cris Eiko, Paulo Crumbim, Pedro Cobiaco, Pedro Franz, Rafael Coutinho, Shiko, and Wagner Willian. The term 'braba,' a Brazilian slang derived from 'brava' meaning angry, has been embraced as a symbol of something impressive and groundbreaking. Originating from Brazil's edgy youth culture, the term is a compliment for individuals who exhibit unique and daring attitudes - an attitude exemplified by the bold and vibrant comics in this anthology. Harvey Kurtzman changed the face of American humor when he created the legendary MAD comic. As editor and chief writer from its inception in 1952, through its transformation into a slick magazine, and until he left MAD in 1956, he influenced an entire generation of cartoonists, comedians, and filmmakers. In 1962, he co-created the long-running Little Annie Fanny with his long-time artistic partner Will Elder for Playboy, which he continued to produce until his virtual retirement in 1988. Between MAD and Annie Fanny, Kurtzman's biographical summaries will note that he created and edited three other magazines, Trump, Humbug, and Help!, but, whereas his MAD and Annie Fanny are readily available in reprint form, his major satirical work in the interim period is virtually unknown. Humbug, which had poor distribution, may be the least known, but to those who treasure the rare original copies, it equals or even exceeds MAD in displaying Kurtzman's creative genius. Humbug was unique in that it was actually published by the artists who created it: Kurtzman and his cohorts from MAD Will Elder, Jack Davis, and Al Jaffee, were joined by universally acclaimed cartoonist Arnold Roth. With no publisher above them to rein them in, this little band of creators produced some of the most trenchant and engaging satire of American culture ever to appear on American newsstands. At last, the entire run of 11 issues of Humbug is being reprinted in a deluxe format, much of it reproduced from the original art, allowing even owners of the original cheaply-printed issues to see the full impact of these creators' artistry for the first time.
