esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.

Pubic hair appeared on the American newsstand in 1970 compliments of Penthouse magazine. Within a year it was everywhere, and in 1975 Midwest redneck Larry Flynt parted the hair and made the pink beyond the centerpiece of Hustler. In Northern Europe censorship laws fell like dominos after Berth Milton confronted Swedish parliament with hardcore photos in 1967, asking what it would do if he published them in Private magazine. The answer was nothing. Denmark followed, producing magazines for France as well. England, always lagging, finally got the knickers off, but kept its censorship laws. Japan, long suppressed, found release in bondage magazines like New Roman Porno and SM Select, though pubic hair stayed forbidden. The Pill removed pregnancy fear and couples embraced swinging, the suburban sexual revolution, with swing magazines in the U.S. and Europe helping to hook them up. Al Goldstein challenged American censorship with Screw, while a Texas ad exec tried to keep tasteless hillbilly humor alive with Sex to Sexty. History of Men's Magazines Volume 5 includes over 600 hair-raising covers and photos from Denmark, England, France, Germany, Japan, the U.S. and more, with the usual inspired text. by Dominique Jando & Linda Granfield During its heyday one hundred years ago, the American circus was the largest show-biz industry the world had ever seen. The spectacle of death-defying daredevils, strapping super-heroes and scantily-clad starlets, fearless animal trainers, and startling freaks gripped the American imagination, and ultimately paved the way for film and television to take root in the modern era. Long before the Beat generation made 'on the road' expeditions popular, the circus personified the experience and offered many young Americans the dream of adventure, reinvention, and excitement. This book brings to life the grit and glamour behind the circus phenomenon. Organized into nine thematic chapters, the book sheds new light on circus history, from a behind-the-scenes look at life on the move, to the freedoms enjoyed by early female performers, to the innovative production skills that demanded as much know-how as a modern-day film production. For the first time ever, contemporary readers can now experience the legend of the American circus in full effect. The book's broad subject matter, riveting images, and diverse visual material will appeal both to the circus aficionado and those who have never before been to circus. by Tim Pilcher, Gene Kannenberg Jr., & Aline Kominsky-Crumb From the pornographic 'Tijuana Bibles' that parodied popular comics and comic strips through the Roaring Twenties and the Great Depression, to the racy cartoons featured in Playboy in 1953 and the flowering of the counterculture that gave rise to underground comics and Robert Crumb, this first visual overview of erotic comics in nearly twenty years chronicles this always fascinating and often ground-breaking form of sexual expression. Erotic Comics reveals this provocative story with hundreds of illustrations and informative text based on interviews with key artists, writers, and publishers. by John Lowe Professional comic artists interpret scripts every day as they successfully transform the written word into the visual form. Rarely do we get to examine the process that is unique to each artist. Unlike any other 'how-to' book, Working Methods puts the minds of comic artists under the microscope, highlighting the intricacies of the creative process step by step. For this book, three short scripts are each interpreted in different ways by professional comic artists to illustrate the varied ways in which they 'see' and 'solve' the problem of making a script succeed in comic form. (W) Jeff Busch Printed in blood-spattered black and white, this tribute to high school yearbooks of old is hilarious in its attention to period detail even as it celebrates the 1960s 'afterlifestyle.' The civil rights upheavals of the early '60s saw the dawn of a new, all-inclusive attitude for the nation's youth, whether living or life-challenged. Jeff Busch captures this dynamic moment in an all-American zombie high school, when a generation of young revenants looked forward to a brighter tomorrow, filled with college, career, and family. And brains. Lots and lots of brains. (immagine) Categoria: Books: novel/sci fi/horror
