esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.
'Furari' could be translated as 'aimlessly,' 'at random,' or 'go with the flow.' But our stroller this time leaves nothing to chance. Six times Eisner Award nominee Jiro Taniguchi returns with this delightful and insightful tale of life in a Japan long forgotten. Inspired by an historical figure, Tadataka Ino (1745 - 1818), Taniguchi invites us to join this unnamed but appealing and picturesque figure as he strolls through the various districts of Edo, the ancient Tokyo, with its thousand little pleasures. Taniguchi slips easily into the heart and mind of this early cartographer and reveals his world to us in full graphic detail so we may fully perceive and understand. Charlotte Salomon (Berlin, April 16, 1917 - Auschwitz, October, 10 1943) was a young Jewish artist from a prosperous family whose mother committed suicide when she was just nine-years-old. In 1938, increasing anti-semitic policies caused her to escape to the south of France to live with her grandparents. She began painting what became over 1000 gouaches consisting of 769 of the paintings depicting a somewhat fantastical autobiography preserving main elements of her life. In 1943 she handed the work over to the local doctor with the wish that he 'Keep this safe, it is my whole life.' By September she was transported to the Auschwitz gas chambers when five months pregnant. (immagine) Categoria: Books: graphic novels

This is the book in which nothing happens but everything is consumed! It's 'The Walking Man' at lunch!! What do we learn about Mister Inogashira? He's a sole, independent trader importing household and fashion goods from France into Japan. He is always busy but never rushed as he travels around Japan selling his wares. He's a private person who, whilst he enjoys the company of women, prefers to remain a bachelor. He smokes cigarettes but never touches alcohol. But above all, he enjoys his food! He is The Solitary Gourmet! Each of the thirty-two chapters explores another dish in another restaurant in another part of town - from Tokyo to Tottori, from Osaka to hospital (yes!) and even ventures to an Algerian restaurant in Paris, eating and observing. This volume collects all 32 chapters created over two decades and includes the hospital chapter. Like an exquisite meal, this book should be savoured over and over again. Defeated samurai Hikosaburo and Manzo are exiled from Japan during the Boshin War in 1868 as the new Meiji government took hold of power in the country. They travel to North America and settle in the mountains of Crow territory. One day Hikosaburo encounters a young native woman who has just given birth hidden in the scrub. Called Running Deer, she tells of how she escaped from two white traders who had 'bought' her, and they soon come looking for their possession! Taniguchi's well-researched detail and meticulous artwork reveal an accurate portrayal of the 'Indian Wars' of the period, including the infamous Little Big Horn encounter, and present a fascinating view of the daily lives and relationships of the Oglalas, and how the code of honor compares to that of the Samurai. After his mother dies aged 78, the author discovers a beautifully lacquered box which contains what appear to be old hand-drawn postcards and photos of Venice. One photo of Piazza San Marco particularly catches his eye. It is of a Japanese couple feeding a multitude of pigeons in the square dressed in what looked like 1930's style. Who were they? What relevance did they have for his mother? Armed with the contents of the lacquered box he travels to Venice to track down the places and events in the images and to discover the identity of the young couple in the old photograph. With very few but well-chosen words and his artist's eye for detail, Taniguchi portrays the Venice of today in a most deserving light. (immagine) Categoria: Books: graphic novels

Kyôto, 1966. Young Hamaguchi works for a textile manufacturer while dreaming of becoming an artist, until an incident at the zoo forces his hand. Two children are close neighbors and love playing together. Then one day they are separated when one of the families moves to the other side of the world. But the boy leaves her a present and a promise. 20 years later a flavor awakens her memories. A mother's gift for knitting lays unappreciated until it is almost too late. As she grows older and raises a family, a woman holds on to her memories of a first love and a toothbrush. A hand-made present and a small lie lead to great upset. A soccer shirt is a poor substitute for the idol that should be wearing it. Yani Hu whips up recipes of young love in its many forms in these five not-so-little stories from China told with innocence and a certain oriental twist. (immagine) Categoria: Books: graphic novels

When Louis Vuitton decided to produce a series of deluxe travel books for the new century they invited only hand picked comic artists from around the world and placed them in settings unfamiliar to the artists to bring this vision to life.
