esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.
Created by Dick Ayers and Ray Krank, Rex Fury was originally known as the Calico Kid, who together with his white horse Spectre became the Ghost Rider! Wearing a white outfit covered with phosphorus and using a cape that had phosphorescent on one side and black on the other, he could cover parts of his body to give the illusion that he was merely a floating head or pair of hands. To further the illusion, he wielded a black lariat and black bullwhip-even Spectre glowed in the dark! The Ghost Rider battled many foes who, like him, were not truly supernatural at all, such as an imposter of Frankenstein's Monster and the Harpy, werewolves and vampires! The character was the inspiration for Marvel's Phantom Rider, also co-created by Dick Ayers! Collects Ghost Rider #6-14 (March 1953-1954) and The Calico Kid #6-10 (May-October 1949). Created by Dick Ayers and Gardner Fox, wealthy scientist Roger Wright became the super-hero known as the Avenger for one reason: To avenge the death of his brother, who was tortured and killed by Soviet agents. His assistant, Claire Farrow, made his costume; Roger asked her to make it after he saw Claire buy a Ghost Rider mask for her nephew. The Avenger had no powers, but he had his own inventions to fall back on, most notably his VTOL aircraft known as the Starjet and Dissolver pistol. The Avenger also possessed a utility belt containing items for almost any occasion. He mainly focused on thwarting the schemes of Soviet forces, both in his native Empire City and around the world. He occasionally battled less conventional villains, such as the Robot Robber and the Player. Previously released as a hardcover and now available for the first time in our popular SOFTEE format. Collects The Avenger #1-4 (Feb/Mar-Aug/Sep 1955) and The Killers #1 (1947). (immagine) Categoria: Books: graphic novels

Synopsis: COMIC MEDIA : Dynamite (1953 Series) Issues #6 - #9 January 1954 - September 1954 CHARLTON : Johnny Dynamite (1955 Series) #10 June 1955 Special Notes: Variant Covers If collated need the ratio, /Free or ordering Criteria Johnny Dynamite created by Pete Morisi was a hard-boiled private detective, known as 'The Wild Man from Chicago.' Good friends with the D.A. but readily accepted by the underworld - he smoked cigarettes constantly, cursed frequently and had a bad habit of getting shot and beaten by his enemies. But always gave as good as he got - he was an experience and persistent detective taking his cases very personally and killed many of his early foes, claiming they were reaching for a weapon. Myra Benz, who had shot him in the eye, was brazenly killed without any true justification beyond his own sense of justice. The other main artist across Comic Media titles was Don Heck, who in 1955 would be recruited by Stan Lee to Atlas Comics, later to become Marvel Comics. Where he became one of the architects of what became known as 'The Marvel Age of Comics,' along with Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko and Dick Ayers. So combined Pete and Don make this 1950's five-comic set, today's winner but be warned, stock is limited! You better get your money ready, they'll be going fast - and you do not need Johnny on your tail! (immagine)

Daredevil is a fictional superhero created by Jack Binder. As a child, Bart Hill was witness to his parents' brutal murder. The murderer also branded Bart with a hot iron, leaving a boomerang-shaped scar on the left side of his chest. This traumatic experience left the boy mute. He trained his entire life in the art of the boomerang, eventually becoming a master boomerang marksman. He then donned a costume and took to the streets as the vigilante crime-fighter known as Daredevil. However... for Bart Hill/Daredevil's second appearance showed him able to speak and it was later revealed that his parents were killed while in Australia, with Bart then raised by a tribe of aborigines who taught him the art of using boomerangs. As an adult, he returned to the U.S. and fought crime as Daredevil. Lev Gleason launched Daredevil's own comic with Daredevil Battles Hitler #1 (July 1941), in which Daredevil and other Silver Streak heroes fought the German chancellor. It was written and partially drawn by Charles Biro, who in his 16-year run would make the character one of the most acclaimed of the Golden Age. Collects Silver Streak #6-17 (September 1940-December 1941) and Daredevil Battles Hitler #1 (July 1941). (immagine)

Amazing Man was the second superhero after Superman, to have a comic book named after him. Historians credit his creation variously to writer-artist Bill Everett and art director Lloyd Jacquet, founder of The Funnies Inc., although some credit may be due to Grace Everett, who helped with research. In 1914, an orphaned child named John Aman was chosen by the Tibetan Council of Seven and trained to be a superman, both in mental and physical perfection. His powers include super strength, invulnerability and the ability to make himself disappear in a cloud of green vapor. When he turned twenty-five, after his final tests, he is sent into the world to combat crime and injustice, returning to America to become the heroic Amazing Man. Collects Amazing Man #5-19 (September 1939-August 1941). (immagine) Categoria: Books: graphic novels
