esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.

CBC gets trapped in the world Steve Gerber made, as we devote the spotlight to the late, great creator of Howard the Duck in a comprehensive look at his life and creative achievements, from Man Thing to Kiss, Crazy to Thundarr, from Destroyer Duck to an Elf with a Gun! One of Gerber's most preeminent friends and collaborators was Mary Skrenes, who shares a rare, wildly entertaining, and extensive interview about her Las Vegas upbringing, 1970s comic book writing career (in part as 'Virgil North'!), co-creation of Omega the Unknown, and help developing much of the Howard the Duck series, including her invention of Beverly Switzler! Our cover artist, Val Mayerik, talks about his life with certain foul-mouthed fowl! In addition, with the help of Roy Thomas, we take a good look at the never-realized Excelsior! Comics line created by Stan Lee in the '90s. (immagine) Categoria: Magazines

This 'What If Kirby...?' issue takes a trip through alternate timelines to discern what might've happened if Jack hadn't been stopped cold in his attempts at revolutionizing comics. We'll consider his ill-fated Speak-Out Series of upscale magazines, DC's abandonment of the Fourth World, his original rejected Spider-Man presentation, Fredric Wertham's effect on Mainline Comics, and even the CIA's involvement with the Lord of Light project! Had things been different, how would Jack's career and output have changed? Plus, Tom Kraft discusses his journey to create and build the 'What If Kirby' website, and teaming with favorite Kirby inkers (including Royer, Sinnott, and Ayers) to produce reimagined Kirby artwork. Also, there's a rare Kirby interview, Mark Evanier and our other regular columnists, a classic Simon & Kirby story, a deluxe gallery of Kirby pencil art, and more! Cover inks and colors by Damian Pickador Zajko. Edited by John Morrow. (immagine) Categoria: Magazines

A celebration of quintessential 1970s writer/editor Denny O'Neil is the centerpiece of CBC #35, featuring an in-depth look at his life, work, and legacy, focusing on the era of relevant comics - from the fabled Green Lantern/Green Arrow series to the mod, mini-skirted Wonder Woman - that brought comics into the modern age. Plus, Bob Levin examines the roller-coaster life and chaotic career of George Caragonne, from his start as Jim Shooter protege at kiddie Star Comics to becoming the drug-fueled helmsman of Penthouse Comix, plunging off a Times Square hotel to his death at age 29. Also, part one of a career-spanning interview with Arnold Drake, co-creator of The Doom Patrol and Deadman. Plus we visit with Jack Butterworth (Warren horror mag writer and comics historian), chat with alternative cartoonist Tim Hensley, and of course, the great Fred Hembeck's latest 'Dateline' feature is here too! This new volume in the ongoing 'Marvel Comics in the...' series takes you all the way back to that company's legendary beginnings, when gunfighters traveled the West and monsters roamed the Earth! The company's output in other genres influenced the development of their super-hero characters from Thor to Spider-Man, and featured here are the best of those stories not covered previously, completing issue-by-issue reviews of every Marvel comic of note from 1961-1965! Presented are scores of handy, easy to reference entries on Amazing Fantasy, Tales of Suspense (and Astonish), Strange Tales, Journey Into Mystery, Rawhide Kid, plus issues of Fantastic Four, Avengers, Amazing Spider-Man, and others that weren't in the previous 1960s edition. It's author Pierre Comtois' last word on Marvel's early years, when Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, and Don Heck, together with writer/editor Stan Lee (and brother Larry!), built an unprecedented new universe of excitement!
