DARK HORSE

One of the longest running and most important comics magazines of heroic fantasy was undoubtedly Savage Sword. Dark Horse, in conjunction with Conan Properties, proudly announces the first in what will be a series of top-shelf sculptures of the greatest Robert E. Howard characters, who were discovered by many in the pages of Savage Sword. The series will be coordinated in terms of packaging design and size, and notably by the commitment that one of the industry's top sculpting talents, Tony Cipriano, will bring to each bust in the series. Charles Schulz's Peanuts has won acclaim as one of the most popular comic strips of all time. Dark Horse Deluxe is joining in the fun by creating a special series of limited-edition statues of vintage Peanuts characters. Inspired by 'syroco' sculptures that were popular in the 1930s and 40s, the ten new statuettes from Dark Horse are designed and manufactured in a style consistent with the earlier figures. Modeled after products that were popular in the 1930s and 1940s, the four new statuettes being produced by Dark Horse are designed and manufactured consistent with earlier 'syroco'-style figures. Joining the initial release, Superman, is none other than Batman. The sculpting and packaging design is inspired by the art style of original Batman creator Bob Kane, and echoes the look and feel of his first comic-book appearances.
