esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.

Jim Lee is perhaps today’s hottest comic-book artist. Since the late ’80s, his work for Marvel, DC and Image — the company he helped found — has set trends that survive to this day. After honing his skills with memorable runs on Alpha Flight and Punisher War Journal, Lee rose to prominence on Uncanny X-Men. Lee then revamped the mutant team’s look and helped launch the second X-Men series, whose first issue remains one of the best-selling comic books of all time. In 1992, he and other artists formed Image Comics. Lee’s group of titles, published under the Wildstorm Productions imprint, included the mega-popular WildC.A.T.s, Stormwatch and Gen13. Under Wildstorm’s sub-imprint Homage Comics, he published Kurt Busiek’s Astro City and Strangers in Paradise, both of which became major fan favorites. Lee returned to Marvel in 1996, relaunching Fantastic Four as part of the “Heroes Reborn” event. Subsequently selling Wildstorm to DC Comics, Lee went on to pencil Batman, Superman and WildC.A.T.s. Later, as DC Comics’ co-publisher, he helped revamp and reconceptualize the company’s entire lineup.Scott Lobdell wrote both Uncanny X-Men and X-Men during the 1990s. He also launched Generation X and Adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix, and penned Alpha Flight and Fantastic Four. Elsewhere, he wrote Dark Horse’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer with Fabian Nicieza, Wildstorm’s Gen13, Top Cow’s Darkness, and IDW’s Ghostbusters: Displaced Aggression and Galaxy Quest. Lobdell scripted Stan Lee’s animated film Mosaic and has performed as a stand-up comedian.Since his start on the New Universe’s Psi-Force and backup stories in Classic X-Men, Fabian Nicieza has written most of Marvel’s major super-teams — including Alpha Flight, the Avengers, the New Warriors, the Thunderbolts and the X-Men. Together with artist Rob Liefeld, Nicieza transformed New Mutants into the blockbuster X-Force. The writer also tackled solo heroes ranging from Cable and Deadpool (later combined in Cable & Deadpool) to Gambit and Nomad. He edited Marvel’s Star imprint, contributed to multititle X-events like “X-Cutioner’s Song” and “Phalanx Covenant,” and wrote various “pre-modern” limited series such as Adventures of Captain America and Citizen V and the V-Battalion. Elsewhere, he has written both JLA and Justice League Adventures, The 99, Turok, X-Files, and others.A founding member of the star-studded Image team, Whilce Portacio became a star thanks to his work on late-’80s Marvel titles like Punisher, Uncanny X-Men and X-Factor. After time at Image during the early ’90s, he returned to Marvel with writer Jeph Loeb on Iron Man. A long illness kept him from the drawing boards until his return on Wildstorm’s Wetworks. His subsequent credits include Batman Confidential, and his first Marvel work in nearly a decade on Uncanny X-Men and Loeb’s Hulk.John Romita Jr. is a modern-day comic-art master, following in his legendary father’s footsteps. Timeless runs on Iron Man, Uncanny X-Men, Amazing Spider-Man and Daredevil established him as his own man artistically, and his work on Wolverine and World War Hulk is among the most explosive comic art of the 21st century. In addition to Eternals with writer Neil Gaiman, JRJR teamed with Mark Millar on the creator-owned Kick-Ass, later developed into a blockbuster feature film starring Nicolas Cage. Spidey fans rejoiced at the artist’s return to Amazing Spider-Man with the “Brand New Day” storylines “New Ways To Die” and “Character Assassination.” He later helped relaunch Avengers with writer Brian Michael Bendis and Captain America with Rick Remender, and contributed to the blockbuster crossover Avengers vs. X-Men. For DC Comics, he drew big-name characters such as Superman, Batman and the Suicide Squad before making a welcome return home to Marvel and Amazing Spider-Man.After an artistic apprenticeship under famed father Joe Kubert, Andy Kubert got his start on DC’s space-opera variations Adam Strange and Warlord, as well as the best-selling crossover Batman vs. Predator in collaboration with brother Adam. Kubert’s Marvel career began with a six-year stint on X-Men — continuing into Thor, Ka-Zar, Ghost Rider and others. He collaborated with Orson Scott Card on Ultimate Iron Man, Neil Gaiman on Marvel 1602 and Paul Jenkins on Wolverine: Origin.

The stories of the Knights are REAL…and your dreams are sorely needed! William 'The Wizard' Gardener is a reclusive comic book creator and artist who has been the sole voice of the legendary PSYCHEDELIC KNIGHTS OF THE 5TH DIMENSION for decades. From comic books to toys and action figures, from cartoons to film, William is the latest of a long line of artists, poets, writers & musicians tapped to inspire creativity in man in order to combat Vanta Black's spread of self-doubt, despair and hopelessness in our world. But William grows old and tired, and his once-revered comic book series is now relegated to flea markets and bargain bins across the world. Years ago, William enlisted the help of up-and-coming writer/artist Kurt 'The Great One' Gideon to carry on the Knights legacy, but after a short and successful run, a disillusioned Kurt turned to fame and drugs, becoming an industry pariah. After years of silence, William needs Kurt's help again…but it's not with inking or coloring. Will Kurt continue William's legacy and join the long line of dreamers and artists who have kept Vanta Black from seeping into our dimension for generations? And in the comic-within-the-comic, join Kree-Gah, J0N 3:16, Professor Amorphous, The Damned Yankee, and the Spiral Architect as they battle The Primordial Evil, all while Vanta Black grows more powerful. Just past the edges of our understanding, Kurt realizes that his oncecolorful stories have real-world consequences and he is needed to journey beyond our dimension, to the parallel universe he once believed to be fantasy, and join the resistance in the ancient struggle between good and evil. Only then can he save both worlds. KNIGHTS OF THE 5th DIMENSION is a love letter to Bronze Age comic books and an homage to the Jack Kirby creations that still adorn comic book shelves, movie screens, and TV sets everywhere. From the minds of artist Walter Flanagan (BATMAN: THE WIDENING GYRE, AMC's COMIC BOOK MEN, TELL 'EM STEVE-DAVE), Writer Casey Van Heel (PALOOKA, THE CIVIL FOUR), and Colorist Wayne Jansen (METRO, CRYPTOZOIC MAN,) and published by Blue Juice Comics (THE ACCELERATORS, ANNE BONNIE, ÆTHER & EMPIRE). This battle will require more than dreamers…our world needs Knights. (immagine) Categoria: Books: graphic novels

A woman must confront the evil that has been terrorizing her street since she was a child in this gripping haunted house novel from the national bestselling author of The House That Horror Built and Good Girls Don’t Die.On an otherwise ordinary street in Chicago, there is a house. An abandoned house where, once upon a time, terrible things happened. The children who live on this block are told by their parents to stay away from that house. But of course, children don’t listen. Children think it’s fun to be scared, to dare each other to go inside.Jessie Campanelli did what many older sisters do and dared her little brother Paul. But unlike all the other kids who went inside that abandoned house, Paul didn’t return. His two friends, Jake and Richie, said that the house ate Paul. Of course adults didn’t believe that. Adults never believe what kids say. They thought someone kidnapped Paul, or otherwise hurt him. They thought Paul had disappeared in a way that was ordinary, explainable. The disappearance of her little brother broke Jessie’s family apart in ways that would never be repaired. Jessie grew up, had a child of her own, kept living on the same street where the house that ate her brother sat, crouched and waiting. And darkness seemed to spread out from that house, a darkness that was alive—alive and hungry.
Christina Henry is a horror and dark fantasy author whose works include The House That Horror Built, Good Girls Don’t Die, Horseman, Near the Bone, The Ghost Tree, The Girl in Red, The Mermaid, Lost Boy, The Chronicles of Alice series (Alice, Red Queen and Looking Glass) and the seven-book urban fantasy Black Wings series. Her short stories have been featured in the anthologies Elemental Forces, Cursed, Twice Cursed, Giving the Devil His Due and Kicking It. She enjoys running long distances, reading anything she can get her hands on and watching movies with samurai, zombies and/or subtitles in her spare time. She lives in Chicago with her husband and son.

'A wish-I'd-thought-of-it premise, beautifully executed. Highly recommended for anyone who thinks that fantasy can do more than just help you escape the real world.' - Brian K. Vaughan, Y: THE LAST MAN 'Fascinating...one of the brainiest and most interesting comics of the year.' - Wired Tom Taylor's life was screwed from the word go. His father created the mega-popular Tommy Taylor boy-wizard fantasy novels. But dad modeled the fictional epic so closely to Tom that fans constantly compare him to his counterpart, turning him into a lame, Z-level celebrity. When a scandal hints that Tom might really be the boy-wizard made flesh, Tom comes into contact with a mysterious, deadly group that's secretly kept tabs on him all his life. Now, to protect his life and discover the truth behind his origins, Tom will travel the world, to all the places in world history where fictions have shaped reality. From Bill Willingham to Ed Brubaker, from the LA Times to Ain't It Cool News, THE UNWRITTEN has won over fans, critics and pros. Now, don't miss the first collected edition featuring the first five issues of the overwhelmingly acclaimed Vertigo series. (immagine) Categoria: Books: graphic novels

British comedy blended with universal regret, this darkly funny graphic novel uses surreal and beautiful visions to explore the ways we remain haunted by our ex-lovers. Valerie has a rich interior life. Though serially unlucky in love, she finds comfort in imagining that her ex-boyfriends are dead and that their bodies are kept downstairs in the cellar in a strange, mummified state. Every day she brings them upstairs and speaks with them about what went wrong. What follows is a series of peculiar and funny-and sometimes disturbing-short tales about inept lovers, weird obsessions, and socially malfunctioning men who repeatedly fail to build a relationship with poor Valerie. Except for Stanley. Stanley was special. Could he be the one to save her? (immagine) Categoria: Books: graphic novels

William 'The Wizard' Gardener is a reclusive comic book creator and artist who has been the sole voice of the legendary Psychedelic Knights of the 5th Dimension for decades, inspiring creativity in man in order to combat Vanta Black's spread of self-doubt, despair and hopelessness in our world. But William grows old and tired, and his once-revered comic book series is now relegated to flea markets and bargain bins across the world. Years ago, William enlisted the help of up-and-coming writer/artist Kurt 'The Great One' Gideon to carry on the Knights legacy, but a disillusioned Kurt turned to fame and drugs, becoming an industry pariah. After years of silence, William needs Kurt's help again… this time to continue William's legacy and join the long line of dreamers and artists who have kept Vanta Black from seeping into our dimension for generations? Knights of the 5th Dimension is a love letter to Bronze Age comic books and an homage to the Jack Kirby creations that still adorn comic book shelves, movie screens, and TV sets everywhere.
