From Kotobukiya. The Bishoujo series is celebrating this special year with the Ultimate Bishoujo! This large 1/6-scale statue reaches a total height of over 11' tall! The team took this anniversary year as a chance to look back at the illustration by Shunya Yamashita with fresh eyes, and took on the challenge of bringing this statue back to life with Kotobukiya's latest skills and techniques. The result was not just a simple reproduction, but the development of a whole new statue! The statue features Invisible Woman's hair flowing in the breeze made with clear material and layered with a beautiful pearlescent paint, creating an airy and transparent tone. Complicated details, such as her irises and the inside of her mouth, have been recreated with a sense of depth and precision that only this large of a scale can bring to life. Her costume features a detailed contrast between the textured and glossy fabrics, with the recreation of even the fine wrinkles being perfectly and naturally captured. Her force field, as well as hands and feet, utilize clear material to make a beautiful gradient that gradually turns transparent at her fingertips. The team is proud to present this statue as a commemorative item for fans all over the globe, as a piece that both showcases the history of the series and its future to come. From Kotobukiya. Characters from the American cultural phenomenon My Little Pony are joining the Bishoujo series! The last character to join the lineup is the lively Earth pony who works at Sweet Apple Acres: Applejack! Applejack has been beautifully rendered into the bishoujo style by illustrator Shunya Yamashita. From the way she displays her cowgirl hat proudly to the world, to the way she flashes her warm smile, her kind, and family-oriented nature clearly shines through. Applejack's checkered shirt and denim skirt have been sculpted to look like they have been made with different materials. Her clothing, despite being made of harder material, almost looks like they are soft to the touch. Also, check out the adorable apple mark carved into her boots! This statue comes complete with a beautifully detailed pony that stays true to the original character design; look at the detail in Applejack's expression as she happily winks at everybody admiring her. The manga for Shaman King is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2018 and in honor of the occasion, Tao Ren is joining Kotobukiya's ARTFX J line! The statue was created based on special concept art created by series illustrator Hiroyuki Takei. This ARTFX J statue was created under the careful supervision of the artist, with each line of the artist's illustration painstakingly replicated to be brought to life in this detailed sculpt. Pay close attention to the fine detail in every little wrinkle and crease on this figure. Ren's guardian ghost, Bason, appears in his Spirit Ball form, made of clear plastic that catches the light beautifully. This smaller, highly detailed sword is scaled to match character models such as ones from the Frame Arms Girl and Sousai Shojo Teien lines. The blade part is pre-painted, giving the weapon a finished look with no painting required! The set also includes two types of swords-Type A with a koshirae, and Type B with a shirasaya. The different parts allow the sword to be displayed drawn or sheathed, or for the scabbard to be displayed on its own for a variety of different silhouettes.
