Among the best of the many Western series from TV's Golden Era of the 1950s, Wanted: Dead or Alive was introduced as a pilot in 1958 and quickly gained notoriety. The series chronicled the adventures of bounty-hunter Josh Randall (Steve McQueen) as he pursued some of the West's most notorious villains - alive if possible, but dead if necessary.
