Peter Bagge is not only one of the primary architects of the alternative comics scene that exploded in the 1980s and 1990s (alongside peers including Gilbert Hernandez, Jaime Hernandez, and Daniel Clowes), but also someone who helped fashion the aesthetics and attitudes of an entire youth movement. His comic book series, Hate, chronicled the exploits of twentysomething Buddy Bradley and his gang of lovable losers through the rise and fall of the grunge era (and eventually beyond). Recently, he teamed up with Tony Fleecs for their Eisner-nominated series Uncanny Valley from BOOM! Studios. He’s drawn a ton of Godzilla and even more Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for IDW. His creator-owned books include the critically acclaimed The Guns of Shadow Valley and Breath of Bones: A Tale of the Golem, both for Dark Horse Comics. He has been drawing the insides and outsides of all sorts of books for Marvel Comics, including Logan: Black, White, and Blood; Venom: Black, White, and Blood; The Punisher; Planet of the Apes; X-Men Legends; Ms. Marvel and Venom; Star Wars; Ghost Rider; Aliens; Spider-Man 2099; and Iron Fist. Dave lives with his wife Jennie and their family in Pittsburgh and loves it.
