esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.

Elsewhere in this volume, she becomes a mother, outwits a gang of jewel thieves, flashes back to her childhood and adolescence, encounters a mysterious cello, and much more! Not only is Crepax's impeccable draftsmanship on full display, but this deluxe package highlights the innovative visual storytelling techniques that made him an international sensation. The outrageous sci-fi parody comic series by Italian underground cartoonist Massimo Mattioli, collected in English for the very first time. On the heels of our collection of the cult classic Italian comic Squeak the Mouse, Fantagraphics is thrilled to present the outrageous comic strip series that started in the 1970s and which put the underground cartoonist Massimo Mattioli on the map. The anthropomorphic eagle Joe Galaxy is a swashbuckling space adventurer always on the make. Whether smuggling holo-videos of intergalactic porn, cheating at interstellar poker with bug-eyed monsters, or contending with the evil lizards of Calisto IV, our wisecracking hero finds himself embroiled in one absurd scenario after another. A dizzyingly boundless cartoon world chock full of parody, pop culture references, and oodles of over-the-top sex and violence, and drawn in a colorful and kinetic medley of styles, Joe Galaxy collects a nearly 25 year run of the strip and lays bare the twisted genius of its infamous creator. This luxe hardcover edition features every story in the Joe Galaxy universe, plus a bonus short penned by Mattioli in 2018, as well as a spirited intro by Coconino Press editor Oscar Glioti. The complete run of the groundbreaking young adult vampire series created by Moto Hagio, a shojo/shonen-ai manga pioneer and one of the world's most influential cartoonists. The Poe Clan: a race of undead that feeds on the energy of the living, whiling away the centuries in a village of roses where time and geography have no meaning. Circumstances lead to a brother and sister, Edgar and Marybelle, being initiated into the clan too young, and therefore doomed to live out eternity forever on the brink of adulthood until a wooden stake or a silver bullet should cut them down. The Poe Clan's narrative spans the mid-1700s to the 1970s: generations of humans' lives are profoundly affected by Edgar, Marybelle, and Alan Twilight, a 14-year-old whom Edgar embraces in the 1800s. In this groundbreaking manga, Moto Hagio explores what it means to live and die, to have loved and lost. Fantagraphics is proud to present the complete 1970s run of this best-selling manga series in English for the first time. Please note: This title is a traditional work of manga and reads back to front and right to left. (immagine) Categoria: Books: graphic novels

The complete two volume adventures of the notorious art trio of Carole, Alex, and Sam. Just in time for the release of Olympia this season comes a boxed set collecting The Grande Odalisque and Olympia, which form the complete, two volume saga of master art criminals Carole, Alex, and Sam. Specializing in the theft of fine art, the trio reinvents a profession that has lost much of its fun and insolence since its heyday in the early 20th century. After successfully stealing La Grande Odalisque by Ingrés from the Louvre (in Fantagraphics' acclaimed 2021 edition of the same name) and taking on the French Special Forces, the trio eyes Manet's Olympia in the eponymous sequel. Collectively the two books paint a vivid portrait of three of the most memorable characters in recent comics memory. Forming a trio as formidable as their protagonists, Bastien Vivès, Jérôme Mulot, and Florent Ruppert deliver a wickedly funny and explosive, grand symphony of adventure in this two book series, collected for the first time in a handsome, hardcover slipcase. The second volume of Fantagraphics' historic series collecting Spain Rodriguez's most important comics, Warrior Women, features the striking women he created with pen and ink, from young Rita Velveeta to senior skateboarder Granny McGurk. His most memorable characters are ferocious femmes fatale - gorgeous and deadly women who can slash and slaughter as fast as any man. You'll find them all in this volume: the Leather Nun, Nasty Elaine, Mara Mistress of the Void, Sangrella, and his ultimate independent woman, Big Bitch! In a revealing essay, the women who knew Spain best describe their relationships with the author. From Janet, his first serious girlfriend, to Susan, the woman he married, and Nora, the daughter they raised together, it's clear that he inspired strong emotions from the ladies he loved and who loved him. This collection of stories about women warriors appeared in Zap Comix, Young Lust, Mean Bitch Thrills, Weirdo, Thrasher Comics, and many others, part of Spain's prolific contributions to the comic medium over a six-decade career. The second volume in Fantagraphics' English-language collection of the internationally beloved newspaper strip. Elves, witches, forest monsters, unicorns, children, talking cats and penguins… plus zombies with fitbits, Stephen King's Christine working as an Uber, and office politics? The bounds of a daily comic strip don't restrict Macanudo's imagination or subjects. With the range of The Far Side, the whimsy of Mutts, and the heart of Calvin & Hobbes, artist Liniers brings his distinctive illustrative line and sensitive watercolors to whatever crosses his mind on a given day. Readers of the previous volume will recognize some recurring characters and stock players, but each book stands alone, and every strip builds its own world. Whether commenting on pop culture, society, or the environment, or celebrating art, nature, or the act of reading, Liniers (Ricardo Siri) expresses his thoughts with joy and beauty. Most of them are funny, too. Beginning in 2002 in Buenos Aires, Macanudo steadily gained popularity around the world, and has been appearing in US newspapers since 2018. Optimism Is for the Brave is the second of a series of volumes collecting Liniers' groundbreaking strip. (immagine) Categoria: Books: graphic novels

The definitive edition of the Great American Grunge Graphic Novel, now collected in paperback for the first time! Peter Bagge, along with the Hernandez brothers and Daniel Clowes, is one of the primary architects of the alternative comics genre that exploded in the 1980s and 1990s. His compelling and best-selling comic book series Hate chronicled the exploits of Buddy Bradley and his gang of lovable losers through the rise and fall of the grunge era, and beyond. Going beyond mere satire, Bagge's observations helped fashion the aesthetics and attitudes of the only significant youth movement to emerge from the Pacific Northwest. A contemporary review by Bruce Barcott in the Seattle Weekly stated, 'Twenty years from now, when people want to know what it was like to be young in 1990s Seattle, the only record we'll have is Peter Bagge's Hate.' The Complete Hate is a new paperback series that includes the original 30-issue run from 1990-1998, the nine subsequent Hate Annuals, and tons of other Hate-related comics, illustrations, and ephemera created for books, magazines, comics, toys, and other merchandise. Bagge combined his cartoony drawing style with uncomfortably real Gen X characters, and the comic books resonated with readers. Vol. 1 collects the first major arc of the series, (Hate 1-15), focusing on young Buddy Bradley's travails in early 1990s Seattle, with a lengthy introduction by Bagge. Each volume contains new covers, endpapers, title pages, and other surprises by the author. (immagine) Categoria: Books: graphic novels

The hilarity never stops in this second collection of The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers comics stories, featuring the Brothers' trip to the 21st century and two Fat Freddy's Cat solo escapades. In this collection of hilarious and politically correct short comics, Freewheelin' Franklin, Phineas, and Fat Freddy form a band; bring home a stray container of plutonium; try to make it through a whole day without getting stoned; and help Phineas through his pregnancy, in 'Phineas Gets an Abortion.' (About which, say no more). (Oh, did we say: 'politically correct?' Just kidding!) In the titular story, the Freak Brothers venture outside on a mission to score a little weed. It is their first encounter with the wonders of the 21st century. ('Still illegal?') Plus: Fat Freddy's Cat stars in two solo adventures, including a visit to 'Cat Heaven.' Fat Freddy himself stars in a bonanza of satirical sketches skewering such targets as Star Wars, G.I. Joe, and Superman. The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers in the 21st Century and Other Follies by Gilbert Shelton and Paul Mavrides is the second release in this special series of seven graphic albums. (The series presents all the Freak Brothers' adventures chronologically, but individual albums will come out in a different order.) The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers comics have sold more than 45 million copies worldwide in 16 languages. The Freak Brothers, the animated series now streaming on Tubi, stars Woody Harrelson, Pete Davidson, John Goodman, and Tiffany Haddish. He was inducted into the Will Eisner Award Hall of Fame in 2012. He lives in Paris, France, with his wife and an ever-changing number of cats. The award-winning cartoonist returns with a graphic novel that spans the past, present, and future of human history, in which Deitch himself, in a parallel reality, meets his spiritual nemesis, Waldo the Cat. Kim Deitch is an underground cartoonist-i.e., a contemporary of Spiegelman, et al.-whose craft just keeps getting better and better. Aesthetically inspired by silent film and 1930s animation, Deitch's comics are infused with 1960s psychedelia and spiritualism. Reincarnation Stories is a collection of comics narratives that combine into a graphic novel. It spans the past, present, and future of human history, with appearances by Frank Sinatra, monkey gods, a forgotten cowboy star of the silver screen, and a tribe of Native Americans that successfully resettled on the moon. In a parallel reality, Deitch himself is the mega-successful creator of a series of kids books about a superhero called Young Avatar, who helps marginalized souls lead better lives and whose alter ego is a carpenter. Deitch's spiritual nemesis (an incarnation of Judas Iscariot), Waldo the Cat, makes an appearance. (immagine) Categoria: Books: graphic novels

The career of Jay Lynch, cartoonist, satirist, and counterculture archivist, spanned more than six decades and displayed his many graphic talents in a vast array of contexts and media. He contributed to the earliest counterculture press, drew and edited many underground comic books, designed confectionary novelties and promotional products, and in later years painted a myriad of private commissions for fans of his work. Included are Lynch's cartoon memoirs, Ink & Anguish, in collaboration with Ed Piskor (Hip-Hop Family Tree, X-Men: Grand Design), which were uncompleted at the time of his death. All his signature 'Nard 'n' Pat' stories from Bijou Funnies are featured in this volume, as well as comics from Bogeyman, San Francisco Comic Book, Bizarre Sex, Teen-age Horizons of Shangri-la, a sampling of his Wacky Packages, Garbage Pail Kids, and other Topps Chewing Gum premiums, and acrylic paintings. Lynch also narrates his life story throughout the book, from his dysfunctional childhood to the day he selected his coffin and headstone, in a half-century series of interviews and correspondence with comic historian Patrick Rosenkranz. The hilarity never stops in this fourth collection of The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers stories, featuring the Brothers' convoluted Mexican odyssey and Fat Freddy's Cat solo escapades. In this early epic of the hilarious and politically correct Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers, Freewheelin' Franklin, Phineas, and Fat Freddy skip out on their rent and decide to cool it down Mexico way where they are chased off the beach, encounter a Mexican mystic, lose all their money, get thrown into jail, escape into an ancient underground labyrinth, and wind up on a secret poppy farm run by the U.S. military - you know, a typical tourist itinerary. (Oh, did we say, 'politically correct'? Just kidding!) Plus: Fat Freddy's Cat stars in solo adventures, including the mini epic, 'I Led Nine Lives.' The 7th Voyage and Other Follies is the fourth release in this special series of seven graphic albums. The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers comics have sold more than 45 million copies worldwide in 16 languages.
