Bob Layton began as a prolific and popular inker for Charlton, Marvel and DC Comics, where he first teamed with longtime collaborator David Michelinie on Claw the Unconquered and Star Hunters. Steve Orlando made a name for himself at DC Comics, writing Wonder Woman, various Batman titles and Martian Manhunter. His Midnighter series and its sequel Midnighter and Apollo were nominated for a GLAAD Media Award. Orlando arrived at Marvel to celebrate a legendary character’s 50th anniversary across three Curse of the Man-Thing one-shots. Orlando contributed to Marvel’s Voices: Pride and returned to the intersection of super-heroics and horror with the Darkhold storyline.

In addition to writing half the Punisher’s longest-running series and four of the title’s Annuals, Mike Baron penned the Punisher: Origin of Microchip miniseries and three Punisher one-shots: Empty Quarter, G-Force and Intruder. Elsewhere in the Marvel Multiverse, he wrote Feud, Spyke and other Epic titles. Still well-remembered for co-creating Capital Comics’ Nexus and Badger during the 1980s, he has also written DC’s Batman, Deadman and Flash. Artist Jan Duursema debuted on DC’s Sgt. Rock and drew nearly the entire runs of Arion, Lord of Atlantis and Advanced Dungeons & Dragons. During the early 1990s, Duursema penciled a short stint on Incredible Hulk and worked on several X-books, becoming X-Factor’s regular artist. In 2000, she joined Dark Horse’s Star Wars franchise; her credits include arcs of the main Star Wars series, the Darth Maul miniseries, the Episode II: Attack of the Clones adaptation, several Jedi one-shots and a lengthy run on Star Wars: Republic. She was the regular penciler on Star Wars: Legacy and illustrated the spin-off Legacy War miniseries.Travel Foreman drew the Doctor Spectrum and Ares limited series before his extensive contribution to Immortal Iron Fist. Multiple Eagle Award winner Paul Gulacy made history as artist on one of comicdom’s first graphic novels, Eclipse Comics’ Sabre (1978), written by Don McGregor. At Marvel, he collaborated with writer Doug Moench on two incarnations of Master of Kung Fu, two Six from Sirius miniseries and the “Coldblood” feature in Marvel Comics Presents. The two also worked together at DC on Slash Maraud and multiple Batman titles/storylines, and at Dark Horse on James Bond 007: Serpent’s Tooth; he has also drawn Dark Horse adaptations from the Star Wars and Terminator franchises and provided art for an array of series at DC and elsewhere. Gulacy collaborated with writer Cary Bates on Marvel’s True Believers miniseries in 2008.
