Mike Mignola's fascination with ghosts and monsters began at an early age; reading Dracula at age twelve introduced him to Victorian literature and folklore, from which he has never recovered. Starting in 1982 as a bad inker for Marvel Comics, he swiftly evolved into a not-so-bad artist. By the late 1980s, he had begun to develop his own unique graphic style, with mainstream projects like Cosmic Odyssey and Batman:Gotham by Gaslight. Writer/artist Jeremy Haun is a prolific, fan-favorite comic book writer and artist who has worked with numerous publishers and characters, ranging from Batman to Captain America to Spawn, in a career spanning 20-plus years. Writer/artist Jeremy Haun is a prolific, fan-favorite comic book writer and artist who has worked with numerous publishers and characters, ranging from Batman to Captain America to Spawn, in a career spanning 20-plus years. He is best known for creator-owned properties such as The Beauty and The Realm published by Image Comics, and The Red Mother and The Approach, both from BOOM! Studios. He is creative director of Ignition Press and the host of the video podcast Curious Haunts. Jason A. Hurley has been in comic book retail for over two decades, but The Beauty was his first foray into making his own. In addition to comic books, he loves pro wrestling, bad horror movies, Freddie Mercury, hummingbirds, his parents, and pizza. While he’s never actually tried it, he also thinks curling looks like a hell of a lot of fun. Hurley claims his personal heroes are Earl Bassett and Valentine McKee, because they live a life of adventure on their own terms.
