esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.

This is the very first time these stories have been reprinted since first appearing in 1960s. Regarded by comic aficionados as the finest western strip ever published, Wes Slade: Deputy US Marshal ran from 1961 until 1981. Written by James Edgar, perhaps the best writer of western strips, and drawn by George Stokes as a labor of love, the artwork is very special. Here we present 10 complete stories all scanned from the original artwork which still survives in the Express Newspaper Archives. George Stokes was born in 1934, the son of a British officer serving in the Indian Army. Travel in Canada and the USA deepened his interest in West and in 1960 he jumped at the opportunity to draw a newly created western strip for the Sunday Express, Wes Slade. He drew Wes Slade weekly for the next 20 years until his untimely death aged 47 in 1981. We are very pleased to offer this incredible collection of Western stories and artwork in the very finest reproduction from the original artwork. (immagine) Categoria: Magazines

Steve Englehart is spotlighted in CBC #37 in a comprehensive, career-spanning interview, with emphasis on his glorious ’70s work as top comics writer. Plus, with the help of former DC Comics' romance editor Barbara Friedlander, we redeem the once sullied name of her mentor, the late, great DC editor Jack Miller, whose career was bought to an ignominious end by company management while he suffered a fatal malady. Also, Dan Didio shares about his entry as DC exec to become the company’s co-publisher in the second portion of Greg Biga's interview with the writer extraordinaire. We also conclude our 100th birthday celebration for Arnold Drake with the final portion of an amazing conversation with the brilliant late scribe, examining his creation of The Doom Patrol and work on The X-Men! We also finally present our long-promised look at the 1970s underground comix oddity, The Funny Pages, with help from the comic tabloid's editor, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs creator Ron Barrett! Also included, natch, are our regular departments such as Hembeck's latest Dateline strip. (immagine) Categoria: Magazines

Cooke — where the Marvel stalwart reveals the moment when comics broke his heart — plus a in-depth biographical essay on the artist along with a gallery of his fabled behind-the-original-art pages amazing "warm up" artwork. We examine the tragic fate of prolific ’70s/’80s Marvel scripter Bill Mantlo, co-creator of Rocket Raccoon and Cloak and Dagger. Also, the fascinating, inside tale of Eastern Color Printing, earliest publisher of American comic books, the first collaboration in an occasional series by historian/researcher Shaun Clancy and Jon B. Cooke. There’s also part two of our lively Shary Flenniken interview, creator of Trots ’n’ Bonnie, about her charming cartooning for National Lampoon.
