esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.

A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese import! While the last series of Marvel Universe Fine Art Statues from Kotobukiya focused on the heroes and villains of the X-Men, the next character comes from outer space and has plans to rule the entire universe: THANOS! Known as the 'Mad Titan,' Thanos is a massively powerful alien who first appeared in the pages of Marvel Comics back in 1973 and has been a menace ever since. An Eternal and Deviant as well as a brilliant scientist, the purple villain became obsessed with Mistress Death and sought to please her by killing. Over the years Thanos would use various weapons and tools in his quest for Death, but by far the most famous and destructive is of course the Infinity Gauntlet, an all-powerful relic combining the powers of six Infinity Gems. With his popularity reaching new heights thanks to his appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Thanos is the perfect new addition to the Fine Art Statue lineup. Always willing to get his hands dirty to further his own schemes, Thanos has arrived to unleash untold destruction on any who would stand in his way! The Mad Titan stands invincible on the battlefield, reveling in his own might as he sweeps away his foes with a clenched fist and the power of the Infinity Gauntlet. His massive frame is garbed in his iconic blue and gold costume, a segmented and reinforced bodysuit with armor plating, huge gloves and boots, a protective skirt, and a wide collar. All of that adds bulk to his already huge physique, and the amazing sculpt shows off both his musculature and the intricate details of his suit. And while Thanos' fist may seem intimidating, it's really his left hand that's the most dangerous for it bears the Gauntlet, expertly recreated with the six differently-colored Gems. The only uncovered part of Thanos is his face, and you have two great options for your display: the Mad Titan giving a sly smile or baring his teeth in a fearsome grimace! Thanos stands an incredible 15 ½ inches tall in 1/6 scale as he poses on the skulls of his defeated enemies. Guaranteed to make a big impact in your collection, this Fine Art Statue is the quintessential collectible of the iconic Marvel villain. (immagine) Categoria: Toys and models

A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese import! The amazing X-Men Danger Room Sessions Fine Art Statue series continues with its fifth member, the mighty steel-skinned mutant COLOSSUS! Born Piotr 'Peter' Rasputin, the mutant who would become an X-Man grew up on a struggling farm in the Soviet Union. His first comic book appearance took place in 1975's Giant-Size X-Men #1, when Professor Xavier visited the small farm to recruit Peter. At first denying his powers, the mutant revealed his true abilities when a runaway tractor threatened his sister. Transforming into a living steel form with vast strength and durability, Colossus would join the X-Men and serve with distinction, which of course meant lots of practice in the Danger Room. Ever since the early days of Marvel Comics' mutant adventures, 'X' teams have trained together in the ultra high tech facility known as the Danger Room, equipped with state of the art adaptive combat and athletics routines that challenge each participant in unique ways. The training facility has been featured prominently in X-Men comics over the years, as well as in various cartoons and the third X-Men film. Inspired by Jim Lee's 1990's era X-Men, Colossus is a massive and unstoppable force. The massive mutant is posed triumphant on the field of battle, about to bring down his heavy fists to crush the last of his wrecked foes. With his powerful physique transformed into living metal, Colossus has a fantastic sculpt showing off each and every muscle wrapped in smooth, narrow bands. He wears his classic bright red and yellow costume that's decorated at the waist with a large red and black 'X' logo. Everywhere his 'skin' is exposed is bright metallic silver, except for his black hair, making Colossus very visually dynamic. But that's not all. You even have two cool options when it comes to displaying the X-Man as he comes with two interchangeable heads: the first is angry yet focused, while the second is a sheer mask of rage! Sculpted by Erick Sosa, the enormous Colossus stands over 15 inches tall! He's perfectly in scale (1/6th) with the other Danger Room Sessions members, and like them stands upon a unique Danger Room holographic environment with translucent parts that glow with a built-in LED light in the base. In Colossus' case it's the shattered remains of a torn up Sentinel robot! Statue (immagine) Categoria: Toys and models

A series of comic strips joined together by the theme of the author's chosen profession - cartooning - reveals a funny and often poignant reflection on the human condition and the lives we choose to live. Acclaimed cartoonist Noah Van Sciver puts to use all the creative arrows in his quiver in this captivating collection of fiction, biography, memoir, and more. Van Sciver juxtaposes fictional stories about what life as a '19th Century Cartoonist' might have looked like with a series of autobiographical strips about life as a contemporary cartoonist, along with pieces about his father and childhood that inform the path in life he has chosen. The resultant effect is a routinely funny (Van Sciver never takes himself too seriously unless it is intended for comedic effect) but also deeply relatable book that touches on some of life's big questions, whether about the ways we measure happiness or success, the ways we often define ourselves by our careers, or the ways we can sometimes lose sight of the most important things. Van Sciver displays a love of the history and form of cartooning that recalls Art Spiegelman, a Lynda Barryesque thirst to unpack ideas of what creativity really means, and a Harvey Pekar-like way of just trying to stay alive in the face of despair. From the author of Fante Bukowski and Joseph Smith and the Mormons, a hysterical character comedy about an aging rock-God-in-his-own-mind forced to face the music. Rufus Baxter is an aging, professionally unemployed loser, desperately - delusionally - hanging on to his 1980s hair metal fantasies of headlining arenas, despite so much evidence to the contrary (like audience members ducking when he tosses promo t-shirts at an open-mic night). The rest of his bandmates in Funky Cool died decades ago in a horrible plane crash on the cusp of their first big break. When he gets kicked out of the Denver storage unit he's been illegally sleeping in, his only prospect is a last-second wedding gig the very next day - in Wyoming. A hop in his car, and possibly a peyote button or two, sends Baxter on a psychedelic and existential road trip through his past, and forces him to confront every bad decision he's made along the way. Beat It, Rufus is very much a kindred spirit with Van Sciver's Fante Bukowski series, a comedic character study both played for laughs but also infused with a surprising gravitas that has you rooting for Rufus despite having every reason not to. Van Sciver's comedic and graphic talents are in peak form in this original graphic novel, his follow-up to the award winning and critically acclaimed graphic bio, Joseph Smith and the Mormons.
