From Tokyo Ghoul, which gained popularity with its serialization in Weekly Young Jump and hit it big with anime adaptations in 2014 and 2015, the half-ghoul protagonist Ken Kaneki joins the ARTFX J lineup. Kaneki, who throughout his experiences and struggles in the story comes to accept himself as a ghoul, has been sculpted in a bold, dynamic pose. The distinctive mask that hides all but his kakugan and reddish-black glowing kagune that protrude from his back give him a chilling presence. This statue encapsulates everything Kotobukiya can share with the world in the ARTFX J series! Please note: The coloring of the kagune has been updated from the 2015 release version of this item. The strong makeup and half-up ponytail bring out the free spirited personality and energy exuding from Shunya Yamashita's unique design. Beetlejuice can be seen filing her nails while leaning against the tombstone as could be seen in the film that inspired this statue. The black and white striped jacket is sculpted as a tailcoat, and is finely sculpted down to the tip of the coat. Appearing as a tall, lanky cyborg machine resembling the Unit-01, Giji-Shinka3 is the awakened form of Evangelion No. 13. It has a similar humanoid body with thin limbs, reinforced knees and chest, shoulder extensions, and horned head, but it adds to the alien look with four arms and a shocking white and black color scheme with some subtle red and green accents! The model kit is comprised of over 400 pre-colored parts so no painting is required, and it has an amazing 60 points of articulation for extreme poseability. Giji-Shinka3 also comes with multiple interchangeable hand, weapon, and accessory parts including halos, tendrils, spears, and more. Sculpted by Yuichi Kuwamura and Shohei Chiba, Evangelion No. 13 Giji-Shinka3 stands 7 ½ inches tall in 1/400 scale. The last character to join the lineup is the lively Earth pony who works at Sweet Apple Acres: Applejack! Applejack has been beautifully rendered into the bishoujo style by illustrator Shunya Yamashita. From the way she displays her cowgirl hat proudly to the world, to the way she flashes her warm smile, her kind, and family-oriented nature clearly shines through. Applejack's checkered shirt and denim skirt have been sculpted to look like they have been made with different materials. Her clothing, despite being made of harder material, almost looks like they are soft to the touch. Also, check out the adorable apple mark carved into her boots!
