esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.

St. John was a mid-sized comics publisher with a varied list of titles, and in June 1952 they joined the horror binge with two titles, Strange Terrors and Weird Horrors. Strange Terrors ended after seven issues, to be replaced by Nightmare #3, picking up from the Ziff-Davis series. However, they then combined the title Nightmare with the numbering from Weird Horrors, so that Weird Horrors #9 and Nightmare #3 were followed by Nightmare #10. And after Nightmare #13 the title was changed to Amazing Ghost Stories for its final three issues. Collects Nightmare #3 (October 1953) and #10-13 (December 1953 to August 1954). DYNAMITE : Comic Media (1953 Series) Issues #1 - #5 May 1953 - January 1954 Johnny Dynamite created by Pete Morisi was a hard-boiled private detective, known as 'The Wild Man from Chicago.' Good friends with the D.A. but readily accepted by the underworld - he smoked cigarettes constantly, cursed frequently and had a bad habit of getting shot and beaten by his enemies. But always gave as good as he got - he was an experience and persistent detective taking his cases very personally and killed many of his early foes, claiming they were reaching for a weapon. Myra Benz, who had shot him in the eye, was brazenly killed without any true justification beyond his own sense of justice. The other main artist across Comic Media titles was Don Heck, who in 1955 would be recruited by Stan Lee to Atlas Comics, later to become Marvel Comics. Where he became one of the architects of what became known as 'The Marvel Age of Comics,' along with Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko and Dick Ayers. So combined Pete and Don make this 1950's five-comic set, today's winner but be warned, stock is limited! You better get your money ready, they'll be going fast - and you do not need Johnny on your tail! (immagine) Categoria: Books: graphic novels

Illustrated throughout, The Penguin Classics Marvel Collection presents specially curated comic book anthologies of the origin stories, seminal tales, and characters of the Marvel Universe to explore Marvel's transformative and timeless influence on an entire genre of fantasy. A Penguin Classics Marvel Collection Edition Collects Fantastic Four #1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 48, 49, 50, 51, and Fantastic Four Annual #6. It is impossible to imagine American popular culture without Marvel Comics. For decades, Marvel has published groundbreaking visual narratives that sustain attention on multiple levels: as metaphors for the experience of difference and otherness; as meditations on the fluid nature of identity; and as high-water marks in the artistic tradition of American cartooning, to name a few. For the first time, these classic stories of some of the most iconic super heroes in the artistic tradition of American cartooning, to name a few. Throughout the 1960s, The Fantastic Four doubled as both the flagship title and the creative laboratory of the Marvel Universe. Stan Lee and Jack Kirby introduced dozens of new characters and concepts in its pages, while expanding the emotional bandwidth and visual vocabulary of the super hero genre with every issue. This collection gathers some key tales from Lee and Kirby's lengthy tenure-from their first experiments in generic hybridity through to the remarkable fusion of the cosmic and the quotidian that is the 'The Galactus Trilogy.' A foreword by Jerry Craft, and a scholarly introduction and a general series introduction by Ben Saunders offer further insights into the enduring significance of the Fantastic Four and classic Marvel comics.
