MIKE MIGNOLA’s fascination with ghosts and monsters began at an early age; reading Dracula at age twelve introduced him to Victorian literature and folklore, from which he has never recovered. Starting in 1982 as a bad inker for Marvel Comics, he evolved into a not-so-bad artist. By the late 1980s, he’d begun to develop his unique graphic style, with mainstream projects like Cosmic Odyssey and Batman: Gotham by Gaslight. In 1994, he published the first Hellboy series through Dark Horse, leading to over two decades of comics spinoffs, prose books, animated films, and live-action films. He worked on Francis Ford Coppola’s film Bram Stoker’s Dracula (1992), Disney’s Atlantis: The Lost Empire (2001), and with director Guillermo del Toro on Blade II (2002), Hellboy (2004), and Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008). A new Hellboy film by Neil Marshall is in the works. Mike’s books have earned numerous awards and are published in many countries. He lives in Southern California with his wife, daughter, and cat.JOHN ARCUDI has been telling lies since he was a boy. Eventually it became clear that this was the only thing he was any good at. After a stint writing for Marvel, he ended up at Dark Horse, where he wrote, among other things, The Mask. John is best known as cocreator of Major Bummer and A God Somewhere, both for DC Comics, and collaborating on a whole mess of comics with Mike Mignola. His coloring garnered him industry awards, unlike his feverish gathering of dry leaves for winter bedding. And he colors on.BILL CRABTREE is an Eisner Award and Harvey Award nominated colorist who has worked in comics since 2003. Yoshikazu Yasuhiko is a Japanese animator and manga artist, who also has been noted as a published author and an illustrator of children's books and young adult books. His career as a character designer has spanned three decades, creating famed characters for such anime as Space Cruiser Yamato, Brace Raideen, and the widely known Mobile Suit Gundam. Considered a pivotal player in mecha and sci-fi anime, Yasuhiko's characters, stories and illustrations are unmistakable in their style and serve as timeless examples as pioneers of manga and animation in Japan.Born in 1947, Yasuhiko began his career as an animator in Osama Tezuka's Mushi Productions, and later on decided to go freelance to work for a number of animation productions for both film and television. In 1981, he took home a Seiun award for Best Artist of the Year. Praise and accolades continued for Yasuhiko, when he took home the Nippon Mangaka Kyokai (Japan Cartoonists Society) award in 1992, followed by an Excellence Prize in manga for Ōdō no Inu at the Japan Media Arts Festival in 2000. Osamu Nishi began her career as a manga artists in 2011 and had her first serialized story, Hotel Helheim, published in Jump Square magazine in 2014. Her second series, Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun, has been running in Shonen Champion magazine since 2017 and gone on to be a hit anime series. The manga version of Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun will be the first time that any of her series have been published in English.
