The second in an extremely limited series of sporting figures from Kotobukiya, the legendary icon of Formula One Racing returns in an all new commemorative Fine Art Statue commemorating five decades since his birth: AYRTON SENNA - 50TH ANNIVERSARY! A hero in his homeland of Brazil and Japan where he competed in some of his most famous races, Senna's career included 41 victories, 65 pole positions, and three world championships. His legacy of philanthropy rivals that of his racing; only after his death behind the wheel during the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix was it discovered that he had donated millions of dollars from his personal fortune to children's charities. Appearing as he did after winning the Brazil GP 1991, Senna stands triumphant with his right hand holding his trophy up in the air. The legendary driver wears his red Honda Nacional driving uniform, intricately detailed with every seam, crease, and sponsor patch. But the details go every further. After that grueling race, in which gear box trouble left him with only six functioning, Senna finished with a numb left arm, and even that is reflected in the statue! Sculpted by Koei Matsumoto and Shinya Akao, Senna's face features an amazingly realistic sculpt, and the Fine Art Statue has been officially approved by the driver's sister Viviane Senna. Senna stands 13 inches tall, and his special base is decorated with the Senna Foundation's 50th anniversary logo and serial number. At the forefront of Kotobukiya's new ARTFX Premier series is the god of thunder, Thor Odinson from Marvel's Avengers Fresh Start series! This 1/10 scale statue was crafted down to the finest detail using digital sculpting, giving this expertly crafted collector's piece an exquisite appearance alongside lifelike detail. The craftsmanship in this piece continues from the sculpting to the painting. Unlike other pieces which follow the pattern of a simple base coat with shading. ARTFX Premier re-evaluates the standards for figure painting. Each individual piece of the statue is layered with several types of paint, giving the finished product an unprecedented sense of beauty and depth. With these techniques in mind, Kotobukiya's craftsmen imagined what kind of materials may come out of the realm of Asgard to create the unique paint job on Thor's metal and leather armor, which transforms in color depending on the angle as it catches light.
