esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.

Introducing an X-files for the age of transhuman technology!Four years ago, a U.S. government supercomputer triggered the Singularity—a sudden and historic explosion of technological advancement beyond imagination and control. Artificial intelligence became superintelligence. At least, it almost did. Within picoseconds, fail-safes kicked in. The plug was pulled on a limitless new existence by a ruling class desperate to tighten the reins on human progress. But in that brief moment, angry seeds of a kneecapped new age were transmitted through cables, waves, and thousands of networks. Now, terrifying beings and inexplicable events dot the globe, ushering in a new revolution.Minotaur is the story of the future fighting back, the cynical photojournalist it’s targeted as its new prophet, the no-nonsense ex-military muscle who watches her six, and the reformed tech bro privately bankrolling their secret international mission to expose it all.Minotaur: The Cold Open is a Comics Giveaway Day exclusive introduction to the new mind-bending ongoing sci-fi series from Si Spurrier (Coda, The Flash, John Constantine: Hellblazer) and Mike Dowling (The Amazing Spider-Man, Unfollow), debuting July 2026!
Mature
Simon "Si" Spurrier writes novels and comics. His work in the latter field stretches from award winning creator-owned books such as Numbercruncher, Six-Gun Gorilla, Coda, The Spire, and Damn Them All to projects in the U.S. mainstream like Hellblazer, The Dreaming, Flash, and X-Men. It all began with a series of twist-in-the-tail stories for the UK's beloved 2000AD, which ignited an enduring love for genre fiction. His prose works range from the beatnik neurosis-noir of Contract to the occult whodunnit A Serpent Uncoiled via various franchise and genre-transgressing titles. In 2016 he took a foray into experimental fiction with the e-novella Unusual Concentrations: a tale of coffee, crime and overhead conversations. He lives in Margate, regards sushi as part of the plotting process, and has the fluffiest of cats.Mike Dowling is the artist of SfSx, written by Tina Horn and published by Image, and the artist and co-creator of Unfollow, written by Rob Williams & published by Vertigo. He has also drawn Tie Fighter, Black Cat, Daredevil, Iron Man, and The Amazing Spider-Man for Marvel Comics.Other work includes Death Sentence written by Montynero and Devlin Waugh, Ichabod Azrael, Judge Dredd and Judge Anderson for 2000AD.

ROMUALD GIULIVO was born in 1973 in Provins, a famous French medieval city. After scientific preparatory classes and a Grande École diploma, he became a naval architect, i.e. a manufacturer of shoeboxes that carry oil… As he dreamed of something else, he quickly set sail and escaped the Kafkaesque atmosphere of the business world by writing a series of fantasy novels around the time of the first Harry Potter books. For the past 20 years, he has divided his time between writing and playing experimental music. He publishes novels inspired by current events with L’École des Loisirs and Editions Anne Carrière, and regularly takes to the stage to set some of his texts to voice, music, and drawings with other artists.Alongside his writing activities, he has founded a cultural operator dedicated to the creation of read-alouds based on the works of a collective of authors and artists.JAKUB REBELKA is a freelance illustrator, comics creator and concept artist working in both digital and traditional mediums. He has created illustrations for animated cutscenes for games such as The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings and Shadow Warrior. For almost two decades, Julia Wertz has been documenting her life’s most intimate, absurd, and amusing moments in a whimsical, hilarious diary comic book called The Fart Party. Wertz retells childhood antics that end in scars and swears. She tracks her young adulthood in real time as she forgets her college graduation, travels cross-country by train, and drinks her way through a harsh breakup. After receiving much acclaim (and controversy), The Fart Party became a series of self-published mini-comics, eventually collected into two volumes, published by Atomic Books. Long out of print, Museum of Mistakes collects anything and everything that is The Fart Party. PLUS: numerous pages of Julia’s early comic work, unpublished and previously uncollected comics, short stories, illustrations, process pages, hate mail, sketchbook pages, tear stains, and more. This massive tome begs the question, "what is a Fart Party?" And the answer is... you'll have to read to find out! Julia Wertz is the cartoonist behind the autobiographic comic books The Fart Party vol 1 and vol 2 (Atomic Books, 2007/2009), Drinking at the Movies (Random House, 2010), and The Infinite Wait and Other Stories (Koyama Press, 2012), and Tenements, Towers & Trash (Hachette, Oct 2017). Her work appears regularly in The New Yorker and the New York Times. See her comics at juliawertz.com and her photography of abandoned places at adventurebibleschool.com. She currently lives in Petaluma, California. (immagine) Categoria: Books: graphic novels

RICHARD CORBEN’S LEGENDARY UNDERGROUND WORK COLLECTED AND RESTORED FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THE BEST OF FANTAGOR. A landmark volume of high fantasy, sci-fi, satire, and psychedelia from one of comics’ most visionary artists. Featuring an introduction by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles creator Kevin Eastman. For the first time ever, the legendary underground comics of Richard Corben are being collected and fully restored in a single volume. The Best of Fantagor brings together some of Corben’s most iconic early stories, originally published in his own self-produced comic series Fantagor, in a definitive edition that reveals the raw power of his early imagination. This is the first collection to feature Corben’s complete Razar the Unhero trilogy. Razar is Corben’s first recurring character, a sly and subversive twist on sword-and-sorcery conventions. The collection also includes an eclectic mix of science fiction, horror, surreal comedy, and full-on psychedelic storytelling. Readers will find post-apocalyptic fables, bizarre creature features, twisted fairy tales, and two rarely seen photo comics. Every story has been carefully restored by longtime collaborator José Villarrubia to honor Corben’s original linework and color experimentation. With seven high fantasy tales, three comedic stories, two sci-fi works, and several unclassifiable ones, this volume of over 160 pages captures the range and intensity of Corben’s early career. Longtime fans will finally get the restored edition these works deserve, while new readers will discover why Corben remains one of the most influential figures in adult comics.Contents include:“Twilight of the Dogs““Razar the Unhero” (Parts 1–3)“The Temple” “Kittens for Christian”“For the Love of Daemon”“Ogre and Ogre II”“Inna Pit” “We Sure Like Worms”“Cidppey”“Doomscult”“Damsel in Dragon Dress”Reprints: Stories from Fantagor #1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Up from the Deep #1, Metal Hurlant #28, Heavy Metal #75 and Grim Wit #1 and #2.The Best of Fantagor is a long-overdue celebration of Corben’s earliest and wildest work. Fully restored and presented in one place for the first time, it offers a rare glimpse into the origins of a master.

Richard Corben was born in Missouri and grew up in Sunflower, Kansas,a community that worked for the Sunflower Ordinance Works, an army plant that manufactured bombs in World War II.Corben drew comics all of his life. An early effort was a series of comics about the adventures of TRAIL, the family dog. Later, he created imitations of Tarzan and Brothers of the Spear. He also showed a keen interest in animation by turning many pads of paper into animated flipbooks. While attending the Kansas City Art Institute, he concentrated on basic drawing and painting, developing skills that would become vital in creating his chosen realistic style. At that time, his college offered no courses for animation, but by using his father's 8 mm movie camera, Corben nevertheless produced a 5-minute animated film highlighting the labors of Heracles as his senior project. After graduation, Corben wanted to go to New York to launch a career in comics or animation, but he was shy and timid, and put off such a drastic move. After working in construction for his father for a while, he found a local job as an artist/animator/cameraman in a Kansas City industrial film company. During this time, despite his shyness, he found a girl to marry him. After nearly ten years at the film company, Corben felt frustrated that he really hadn't given his art career a chance. He started drawing so-called "underground" comix and fanzines at night after working a full-time job during the day. About this same time, Warren Publishing Company began a series of black-and-white horror comics, CREEPY, EERIE, and VAMPIRELLA. This was a perfect match for Corben's interests, and he drew several stories for CREEPY on speculation. Unfortunately, none of these were accepted. But the "wannabe" comic book artist persisted and even met James Warren at a science fiction convention. Finally, Warren and his editor, Bill Dubay, relented and started sending Corben scripts to draw. At last, a foothold was established in his comic career. Even with the responsibilities of a wife, a daughter and a mortgage, the young artist now felt confident enough to quit his full-time job at the industrial film company and devote all his time to drawing. The underground comix surge spread to Europe, and requests to reprint Corben underground features began to appear. His fantasy character, DEN, was created for the American underground comic, GRIM WIT; DEN was next printed in the French METAL HURLANT, and then printed in the American HEAVY METAL. During this era, Richard and Dona started FANTAGOR PRESS, a publishing company featuring Richard's comics. Unfortunately, the business wasn't enough to support them. Next, Corben began drawing for American comics - D.C., MARVEL, DARK HORSE, and others.Corben believed that maintaining drawing skills required constant practice. He regularly attended life drawing classes all throughout his career. He found the activity both an ongoing challenge and a source of pleasure. His love and interest in animation continued throughout his lifetime and motivated him to create digitally animated movies he shared on his web site and Facebook page.Richard was married for 56 years to Dona, and is the father of watercolor artist and comic book colorist, Beth. His life and love was devoted to his family and his art. He was a humble man and an extremely kind, good man.Richard Corben died December 2, 2020.
