Few writers/editors influenced Marvel more than Mark Gruenwald (1953-1996). Writer/artist Jeremy Haun is a prolific, fan-favorite comic book writer and artist who has worked with numerous publishers and characters, ranging from Batman to Captain America to Spawn, in a career spanning 20-plus years. He is best known for creator-owned properties such as The Beauty and The Realm published by Image Comics, and The Red Mother and The Approach, both from BOOM! Studios. He is creative director of Ignition Press and the host of the video podcast Curious Haunts. Jason A. Hurley has been in comic book retail for over two decades, but The Beauty was his first foray into making his own. Hurley claims his personal heroes are Earl Bassett and Valentine McKee, because they live a life of adventure on their own terms. He’s lived in Joplin, Missouri, for most of his life, and never plans to leave. His science fiction and fantasy short stories have been published in magazines and anthologies such as A Thousand Beginnings and Endings, Mother of Invention, Behind the Song, Kaleidoscope: Diverse YA Science Fiction and Fantasy Stories, and others. He has also written for Realm’s serialized fiction podcasts ReMade, Alternis, and Orphan Black: The Next Chapter.Eugene attended the Clarion West Writers Workshop in 2005 and is a member of the NYC writing group Altered Fluid. In his intermittent free time, he live streams retro video games on YouTube.
