KOTOBUKIYA

The manga for Shaman King is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2018 and in honor of the occasion, Tao Ren is joining Kotobukiya's ARTFX J line! The statue was created based on special concept art created by series illustrator Hiroyuki Takei. This ARTFX J statue was created under the careful supervision of the artist, with each line of the artist's illustration painstakingly replicated to be brought to life in this detailed sculpt. Pay close attention to the fine detail in every little wrinkle and crease on this figure. Ren's guardian ghost, Bason, appears in his Spirit Ball form, made of clear plastic that catches the light beautifully. Ren's base has also been sculpted to look similar to 'ARTFX J Yoh Asakura''s base to be lined up as one series…! This smaller, highly detailed sword is scaled to match character models such as ones from the Frame Arms Girl and Sousai Shojo Teien lines. The blade part is pre-painted, giving the weapon a finished look with no painting required! The set also includes two types of swords-Type A with a koshirae, and Type B with a shirasaya. The different parts allow the sword to be displayed drawn or sheathed, or for the scabbard to be displayed on its own for a variety of different silhouettes.
