Sculpted by Tatsuya Hattori, Nicolas Brown is nearly 10' tall (1/8 scale) as he launches into the air with his feet barely touching the remains of blasted Ergastulum rubble. The latest series of high quality 1/10th scale ARTFX+ figures celebrates iconic characters appearing in Spider-Man titles, and up next is the Marvel Now! incarnation of the bonded alien symbiote: AGENT VENOM! After being used by anti-hero Eddie Brock and the villain Mac Gargan, the Venom symbiote was captured by the U.S. government for use in a secret military program. It was assigned to none other than Eugene 'Flash'Thompson, a character who first appeared bullying Peter Parker in high school all the way back in 1962 but who more recently served with distinction in the Army. Agent Venom fought supervillains on Earth and in deep space along with the Guardians of the Galaxy, and now the symbiotic hero joins the Spider-Man lineup in an amazing ARTFX+ Statue presentation based on artwork by Stefano Caselli! Embarking on a secret mission, Agent Venom stalks his prey using stealth and military training. Flash sneaks along in a deep crouch with twin pistols held up at the ready as he pivots to check for targets. The symbiote provides excellent armor protection over a standard issue outfit, and Venom is outfitted with a sleek black bodysuit with heavy combat boots and chitinous armor plating protecting the agent's torso, lower limbs, shoulder, and collar. Flash also wears a belt carrying additional equipment and two more pistols in holsters, and his bodysuit extends over his head in a sleek black hood with white eye outlines. That bright white is also seen at strategic places on Venom's suit: rectangles on the back of the hands, outlines on the thighs, and of course spider symbols on the chest and back. Everything about the stance and equipment screams precision and deadly intent, down to the exacting details like Flash's trigger discipline. Agent Venom stands under 7 ½ inches tall (in the ARTFX+ 1/10th scale) in his crouching pose and was sculpted by the same artist responsible for the Marvel Now! Avengers, X-Men, and Spider-Man series, Junnosuke Abe (RESTORE). And as with all ARTFX+ releases magnets in his feet provide perfect stability on the included display base. The fourth entry in the elite ARTFX Premier series is the Hulk! This 1/10 scale statue was crafted down to the finest detail using digital sculpting, giving this expertly crafted collector's piece an exquisite appearance alongside lifelike detail. The craftsmanship in this piece continues from the sculpting to the painting. Unlike other pieces which follow the pattern of a simple base coat with shading. ARTFX Premier re-evaluates the standards for figure painting. Each individual piece of the statue is layered with several types of paint, giving the finished product an unprecedented sense of beauty and depth. The ARTFX Premier rendition of Hulk is based on the 2018 Immortal Hulk comics, which pays homage to the character's roots. The statue depicts the transformed Bruce Banner delivering a powerful Hulk smash to the base on which he stands. The statue's powerful posing and realistic detail fully capture the Hulk's wild and unbridled strength in his transformed state. In order to give the statue an overpowering sense of power beyond the likes of which can be seen through the monitor of a computer, the initial prototype of the statue was created using clay. The model was then scanned and transformed into 3D data, allowing Kotobukiya's craftsmen to fine-tune the details such as the texture of Hulk's skin and shredded denim trousers. The intricate craftsmanship of this piece continues from the sculpting to the painting, with a multilayered paint job that highlights the level of detail that has gone into the piece. This rendition of the Hulk offers not only the weight and volume of a scale rendition of the character, but an attentive level of detail that offers quality alongside quantity. Like the other Avengers before it, the statue comes in sophisticated packaging overflowing with elegant details, including a marble inspired motif as well as an original illustration based on the figure. Additionally, these limited edition statues will come with a certificate that includes a collector number printed in gold, certifying each piece as a one-of-a-kind original. Kotobukiya has introduced the latest installments in their stylish Devil May Cry series as Dante and Nero are joining their line of ARTFX J 1/8-scale statues. Nero's character is perfectly captured as aims his signature double-barreled pistol Blue Rose, a provocative look on his face. The statue is expertly crafted to showcase every realistic detail, from the metal buckles on his outfit to the folded sleeves of his coat. Nero'ssignature weapons, Blue Rose and Red Queen are also faithfully recreated, and Nero's Devil Breaker arm, a new addition to the franchise in the 5th installment, is also on display, crafted with the same level of care and detail as the rest of the statue! A younger version of the cyborg than she appeared in previous installments of the series, Motoko sits atop a high-tech device that's plugged into her prosthetic body via wires and cables in her legs, chest, and back. Kotobukiya's Star Wars lineup returns to the 1/7 scale ARTFX statues with none other than Darth Vader! The character was created by George Lucas and numerous actors have portrayed him. His appearances span all six Star Wars films, and he is an important character in the expanded universe of television series, video games, novels, literature and comic books. The films establish that there was originally a Jedi Knight named Anakin who fell to the dark side of the Force; he is also revealed to be the father of both Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia Organa, the two main protagonists of the original trilogy. After turning to the Dark Side of the Force, Vader is a ruthless henchman of Emperor Palpatine; he secretly intends to overthrow Palpatine to establish himself as ruler of the Empire. Vader is ultimately redeemed in Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, when he sacrifices himself to save his son, Luke. Darth Vader is presented in his original costume as seen in STAR WARS Episode IV: A NEW HOPE.
