esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.
Edited by Dan Nadel & Glenn Bray The controversial cartoonist Rory Hayes was a self-taught dynamo of the San Francisco underground comics revolution, emerging as comics' great primitive, creating genuinely horrifying and hallucinatory comics. This book, the first retrospective of Hayes' career ever published, features the best of his underground comics output alongside paintings, covers, and artifacts rarely seen by human eyes - as well as astounding, previously unprinted comics from his teenage years and movie posters for his numerous homemade films, and a biography and critique with a memoir of growing up with Rory by his brother, the illustrator Geoffrey Hayes, a rare interview with Hayes himself, and a career-spanning essay by Edward Pouncey. by Steven Weissman It's hard to recall a time when Steven Weissman's adorable and idiosyncratic cartoon creations weren't a part of our lives, hustling about Milltown, perfectly drawn and perfectly awful. The cast seemed to appear fully formed by the end of the 1990s, and ready for their 'close up.' Every success story has its humble - or arrogant and mean-spirited - beginnings, and now Fantagraphics Books is tickled pink to present Mean, collecting Weissman's early, self-published, unpublished, and otherwise rare 'Yikes' comics. Enjoy your favorite characters' awkward, embarrassing first appearances; watch them stumble from their early, crude glory into their mature sadistic and masochistic selves. Li'l Bloody and the Pullapart Boy steal candy, X-Ray Spence answers his fan mail, and Kid Medusa falls in love (twice!). Early critical attention, while overwhelmingly positive, often questioned what Weissman 'was on' when he came up with these odd tales of young friendship. Read Mean and guess for yourself. By George Herriman KONCLUDING THE KOMPLETE KRAZY KAT KOLOR SUNDAYS! Krazy and Ignatz 1943-1944 covers the last two years of Herriman's master-piece. With this volume, Fantagraphics and its precursor Eclipse will have reprinted the entire 29-year run of the Krazy Kat Sundays! Like Charles Schulz, George Herriman was a cartoonist to the very end. Aside from collecting the last masterful year and a half of 'Krazy Kat,' this new volume will offer a retrospective look at Herriman's life at the drawing table, offering many never before seen samples of his original art (which the cartoonist often lovingly hand-colored for friends). Gathered from many scattered collections, these pages testify to Herriman's invererate passion for drawing. Rounding out the volume are scores of Krazy Kat daily strips also from Herriman's last years, further testament to the cartoonists vitality. Series editor and veteran comics historian, Bill Blackbeard, also provides a concluding, wide-ranging essay on the life and art of Herriman. More than a simple reprint collection, Krazy and Ignatz 1943-1944 portrays the full range of a cartoonist who remained an artist all his life. (immagine) Categoria: Books: graphic novels
