esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.

The life, art, and legacy of Tom Palmer is celebrated with a retrospective and career-spanning interview with the late inker extraordinaire, plus tributes from an array of comics pros, compiled by Greg Biga. We also chat with great cartoonist Lee Marrs, from her start assisting on Little Orphan Annie, to hilarious work for DC's Plop!, to breaking into the underground with Pudge, Girl Blimp, as well as forging her own path in the comics scene. In addition, we begin a multi-part look at the life and career of Dan DiDio, one-time co-publisher of DC Comics and current Frank Miller Presents publisher, talking with him about his eclectic writing work for television and rise as renowned comics scribe. Plus there's part two of our in-depth talk with the late writer Arnold Drake about his storied comics career, that includes co-writing perhaps the first graphic novel, It Rhymes with Lust [1950], and his foray at Marvel Comics, where he created Guardians of the Galaxy. Also, we spotlight the fascinating public service comics produced by the students of the Center For Cartoon Studies, and more! (immagine)

SCREEM #43 comes swimming into 2025 with two Creature covers! With Universal Studios bringing our favorite monster from The Black Lagoon back to our waters, we are excited to give Blackie the covers he deserves, although this time he is sharing space with the Amphibian Man from Gullermo del Toro's The Shape of Water, which made its debut on the 4K format from the good folks at the Criterion Collection. Stephen R. Bissette dives deep into the creature features that we've admired throughout the years. John-Paul Checkett takes his Deep Focus column to jolly ol' England and puts Peeping Tom under his microscope. Andy Rausch has a seat for Mick Garris in this issue's Director's Chair column, Mexican film historian David Wilt sinks his teeth into Indicator's new double feature Blu-ray box set for two classic bloodsucker films: El Vampiro and The Vampire's Coffin. From Deadpool to the Infinity Countdown, Mike Hawthorne has continued his upward trajectory to become one of today’s best mainstream comics artists. In Draw! #36, Hawthorne slices, dices, and dishes on what it takes to get to the top, and how he creates the razor-sharp imagery that got him there! Next, Draw! travels north of the border to catch up with Shuster Award-winning artist Yanick Paquette (Wonder Woman: Earth One, Batman Incorporated, and Swamp Thing), as he reveal the techniques and working methods behind his remarkable style. Plus, regular columnist Jerry Ordway continues demonstrating the “Ord-Way” of creating comics, Jamar Nicholas reviews the latest art supplies, and we present the latest installment of Comic Art Bootcamp by Bret Blevins and Draw! editor Mike Manley! Deputy Sheriff Jess Delgado is tasked with transporting the sole survivor of a mysterious attack along the Texas-Mexico border to CoreCivil, a for-profit immigration detention center closing down due to wide-spread protests. Housing only a handful remaining detainees and manned by a skeleton crew of disgruntled guards, the detention center becomes a desperate battle ground when something otherworldly emerges from deep below the earth. Something that only fears the light. Deputy Delgado must pull together the guards and detainees – two groups that hate and fear each other – to survive the night. Or fall to the vengeance of the things that live beneath. (immagine) Categoria: Magazines

And a creature named Echo—one of the Sustained: elemental beings with the power to alter reality through music. She invites Melody to join her as she brings about the end of the world. As Melody tries to escape this strange woman, suppressed memories from across vast spans of time flood into her awareness, bringing her very identity into question. “I, the Cryptologist, throw open my putrid sanctuary, as acclaimed illustrator Alex Ross regales us with the gory lowdown on his Universal Monsters paintings. Tim Leese and Hammer Time then take us face-to-face with that studio’s classic film “Brides of Dracula.” Mark Voger puts the horrors of 3-D movies of the 1950s into focus, and editor Peter Normanton literally brings that era’s 3-D comic books to life with a mini-history, and complete 3-D story reprint! From there, we embark on a journey to discover the early origins of blood-curdling slasher movies, as a prelude to the macabre pre-Code artwork of Atlas’s Bill Everett and ACG’s 3-D maestro Harry Lazarus. Another Killer “B” movie awaits (courtesy of Steve Kronenberg), as does cartoon creepiness by Pete Von Sholly. It’s a crypt full of the macabre, prepared especially for retro horror fans!” (immagine) Categoria: Magazines

Described as superheroes through the lens of Elmore Leonard & Quentin Tarantino, this uber-hip, groundbreaking series of tour de force stories from New York Times best-selling author Matt Kindt (BRZRKR) and iconoclastic illustrator David Lapham (STRAY BULLETS) is now being made widely available for the very first time. This meticulously curated collection contains the complete saga of THE HERO TRADE thus far, as well as a wealth of bonus material and behind-the-scenes content exclusive to this edition. The seemingly straightforward tale of a man with the body of a superhero in the trunk of his car, driving from one nefarious organization to another and selling it piece by piece. An ordinary man at the end of his rope, this score is his last shot, one night to make good. He's bound and determined to carve out a place for himself in this world, even if he has to do it one bloody body part of Captain Fab at a time. His black market buyers all looking for a piece of the superpowered action, to own a piece of the paragon. To collect it. To touch it. Even taste it. Because eating even a tiny piece of The Fab? Grants you unbelievable powers. Ingest a drop of Captain Fab’s blood? Develop a miraculous healing factor. Feast on an eyeball, snort some teeth dust, dine fabulously and take the ride… although the powers you get may not be what you expected. This is THE HERO TRADE. There have been many groundbreaking explorations into the superhero genre. This is not one of them. However, it may be the first groundbreaking exploration of the people who consume the superhero genre. (immagine) Categoria: Magazines

"I bet you thought I’d forgotten you… but don’t worry, the Cryptologist never forgets his fiends! In this issue, we find out what Bela Lugosi, Boris Karloff, and their cohorts were up to when they weren’t appearing in our favorite horror movies—you’d be shocked! Plus, at long last, I’ve exhumed some of Ghastly Graham Ingels’ gruesome artwork for your delectation. Then we get to meet Norman Bates, courtesy of Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho, Robert Bloch, and his lunatic mentor Ed Gein. Psycho II scriptwriter and Fright Night director Tom Holland will be dropping by for a chilling chat—you will definitely want to hear what he has to say! As if this isn’t enough, our Killer-B section takes you back to high school and a gathering of teenage monsters, and then we launch the first part of our extensive history of the pre-Code comic book, beginning in 1938. There’s all of this and more in my crypt crammed full of the macabre from editor Peter Normanton, made just for you retro horror fans!” (immagine) Categoria: Magazines
