Dark Horse has licensed rights to create figures based on Powers, the creator-owned series of comics and graphic novels by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Michael Avon Oeming. The first character to join the series is an agent from the global elite special unit known as the G.I. JOE team, Scarlett! The statue is based on original art by Shunya Yamashita, which was specially created as concept art for the BISHOUJO statue! A counter-intelligence expert who protects her allies from enemy schemes, Scarlett is proficient with a variety of weapons. Scarlett's signature red hair and two-piece bodysuit are recreated in stunning detail. While remaining faithful to the original G.I. JOE series, Scarlett's suit has also been upgraded to represent the advanced, high-tech equipment available to the elite G.I. JOE team, as is evident in the suit's unique and highly detailed texture. Additionally, like the original action figure, Scarlett comes with an XK-1 power crossbow. Among the best of the many Western series from TV's Golden Era of the 1950s, Wanted: Dead or Alive was introduced as a pilot in 1958 and quickly gained notoriety. The series chronicled the adventures of bounty-hunter Josh Randall (Steve McQueen) as he pursued some of the West's most notorious villains - alive if possible, but dead if necessary. Though not bound to honor the edicts of the law, Josh adhered to a personal code of honor, like many other lone cowboy heroes of the era. He toted a specially designed weapon which he affectionately referred to as his 'Mare's Laig' - a .40 gauge sawed-off carbine. In 94 episodes over three seasons, Wanted: Dead or Alive became one of television's most beloved Westerns. Featuring a faux bronze finish, this 1/3-scale premium polystone casting is made from the finest materials possible. After a career as a top commercial illustrator, creator of Disney's Teacher's Pet animated show, and artist for the Cranium board game, he felt he should not be 'limited to one world, whether the gallery world, editorial world, or art toy world.' He has now embraced them all with success. In March 2013, the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles will install a major career retrospective, My Door Is Always Open, that will run for six months. Dark Horse is celebrating with a new range of merchandise, all selected and approved by Gary Baseman. The Gary Baseman Veritas Pins will be a series of five deluxe sculpted metal pins, all with the theme of 'veritas' (Latin for 'truth'), newly designed by Baseman.
