È possibile effettuare la ricerca anche inserendo direttamente il
                                            codice a barre.

Beloved children's author Ben Hatke turns his pen to a very special project for adults: an atmospheric tribute to the medieval folklore tradition of trickster tales, starring Reynard the Fox. Inspired by the twelfth-century tales of the indomitable trickster fox Reynard, this offbeat tribute to the archetypal rogue has a satisfyingly old-fashioned feeling to it. Although this Reynard adventure is entirely the creation of modern fairy-tale master Ben Hatke (Mighty Jack), it fits seamlessly into the body of Reynard tales still beloved in Europe to this day. Featuring charming black-and-white illustrations and a clever narrative, Reynard's Tale follows our hero through a series of encounters with other classic figures from this body of folklore to piece together a headlong journey through a perilous landscape filled with murderers, kings, ex-lovers, mermaids, and even Death herself. by (W) Mark Millar (A) Frank Quitely
Mark Millar and Frank Quitely’s comic-book masterpiece, a vast epic covering three generations of superheroes from the early 20th Century to the far future.During the depths of the Great Depression, a mysterious island sent out a call to seven good-hearted people. They returned with fantastic powers and helped the United States through World War 2, The Cold War, and countless crises. They were beloved by all mankind, but their children were a different breed entirely.Rich, spoiled and growing up in the Hollywood hills without their parents’ sense of duty, they grew tired of mankind’s ways and decided to murder their parents, take over the world and impose their ideas on a human race they regard as weak and stupid. Brandon Sampson, the son of the two most powerful superheroes who ever lived is their leader, a callow narcissist who always felt in his father’s shadow. But his sister Chloe refused to buckle and now leads the resistance movement against the superheroes. She and her super-villain boyfriend are recruiting all the old crooks they drove into hiding with a plan to rescue the world from the people born to save it.For mature audiences. Collects Jupiter's Legacy (2015) 1 and 2.

Over the past year, the X-MEN series has gotten a lot of buzz due to FOX's television series The Gifted and the upcoming New Mutants film. Now, Kotobukiya presents a nostalgic rendition of one of the most beloved X-MEN, Wolverine! Based on the animated TV series from the X-MEN golden age, Wolverine's classic blue and yellow costume is recreated in stunning detail, just as it is burned into the minds of X-MEN fans throughout the world. At 1/10 scale, these new figures perfectly embody the essence of the ARTFX+ series as cost-effective, space-effective collectibles. The statue's thorough design and bold paint colors give it a vintage feel, and Wolverine looks like he jumped straight out of the X-MEN animated series. What's more, Wolverine comes in a two pack with his sparky sidekick Jubilee, who was by his side all the way from the first episode of the series. (immagine) Categoria: Toys and models

Soon to be a television series produced and showrunner by Ryan Murphy and premiering on FX this fall, the smash-hit comic The Beauty returns to comic shops with a brand-new volume. Set in a world not unlike our own, The Beauty chronicles what happens when a new sexually transmitted disease begins to spread. Only, this is a disease that people actually want, as those who contract it are literally changed into more beautiful versions of themselves. The only hitch is a slight fever and, eventually, death. But isn’t that an easy price to pay to be gorgeous? This new series follows several characters as they deal with the Beauty and how it has changed society around them. A thief for hire on a dangerous job, a meteorologist with plummeting ratings, and special agents specializing in Beauty-related crimes will all find their lives converging in unexpected ways. And some fan favorite characters from the original series will return, as well. The Beauty is written by co-creators Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley, and this time around they are joined by superstar artist Ema Lupacchino (World’s Finest: Teen Titans) for an intriguing morality play that blends crime, horror, and action for a comic book unlike any other. All the B variants for the series will feature a cover by series artist Lupacchino and colorist Leonardo Paciarotti (Edenwood)!

He is best known for creator-owned properties such as The Beauty and The Realm published by Image Comics, and The Red Mother and The Approach, both from BOOM! Studios. He is creative director of Ignition Press and the host of the video podcast Curious Haunts. Jason A. Hurley has been in comic book retail for over two decades, but The Beauty was his first foray into making his own. While he’s never actually tried it, he also thinks curling looks like a hell of a lot of fun. Hurley claims his personal heroes are Earl Bassett and Valentine McKee, because they live a life of adventure on their own terms. He also claims that he would brain anyone who showed even the most remote signs of becoming a cannibalistic undead bastard, including his own brother, without a second thought. He’s lived in Joplin, Missouri, for most of his life, and never plans to leave. A former biotechnology researcher, Ema Lupacchino transitioned into comics and has worked on several Italian series, including L'insonne. Alongside her work as a comic book artist, she also illustrated role-playing game manuals. In the North American market, she has worked for many of the major publishers including Marvel, DC, IDW, Dark Horse, Image, and Dynamite on titles that include Wonder Woman, Birds of Prey, Star Trek/Doctor Who, and X-Factor among many others. New York Times-bestselling October Daye series • Hugo Award-winning author Seanan McGuire • "Top of my urban-paranormal series list!" —Felicia Day It’s been almost a year since October “Toby” Daye averted a war, gave up a county, and suffered personal losses that have left her wishing for a good day’s sleep. She’s tried to focus on her responsibilities, but she can’t help feeling like her world is crumbling around her, and her increasingly reckless behavior is beginning to worry even her staunchest supporters. To make matters worse, Toby’s just been asked to find another missing child…only this time it’s the changeling daughter of her fellow knight, Etienne. Chelsea, a teleporter like her father, is the kind of changeling the old stories warn about: the ones with all the strength and none of the control.  She’s opening doors that were never meant to be opened, releasing dangers that were sealed away centuries before—and there’s a good chance she could destroy Faerie if she isn’t stopped. Now Toby must find Chelsea before time runs out, racing against an unknown deadline and through unknown worlds as she and her allies try to avert disaster. Toby thought the last year was bad.  She has no idea.
Seanan McGuire is a California-based author with a strong penchant for travel and can regularly be found just about anyplace capable of supporting human life (as well as a few places that probably aren’t). Early exposure to a vast number of books left her with a lifelong affection for the written word, and led, perhaps inevitably, to her writing books of her own, starting somewhere around the age of eleven. The October Daye novels are her first urban fantasy series, and the InCryptid novels are her second series, both published by DAW and bother of which have put her in the New York Times bestseller list. Seanan was the winner of the 2010 John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer; Rosemary and Rue, the first novel in the October Daye series, was named one of the Top 20 Paranormal Fantasy Novels of the Past Decade; and her novel Feed, written under the name Mira Grant, was named as one of Publishers Weekly's Best Books of 2010. She also won a Hugo for her podcast, and is the first person to be nominated for five Hugo Awards in a single year. You can visit her at www.seananmcguire.com.

New stories in the world of The Beauty, the hit comic series that inspired the forthcoming television series from Ryan Murphy and FX! Agent Crayton can’t outrun his past, not as long as The Abernathy knows what he did and holds him in their grip. Is the price they are attempting to extract from him too high, or can he live with the harm helping them will do to the people around him? Things aren’t so bad for Kelvin Frost, however. The weather man has gotten the Beauty, and he’s already discovering how the disease can change your life in a myriad of ways--from the gorgeous girl he’s now having a fling with to the police knocking on his door wondering what he knows about the death of the man who helped him get the virus. You see, it’s a disease that comes with consequences, but that doesn’t stop people from wanting to get it. Or seeing a necessity for it. Whether you’re an aging football star like Skottie or a highly paid thief like Nox, sometimes you’re going to do what you have to do to get ahead. Storylines begin to converge in this all-new arc of The Beauty, the renowned indie comic from writers Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley, with knockout art by Emanuela Lupacchino (World’s Finest: Teen Titans). Featuring new covers by both Haun and Lupacchino.
