esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.
A flabbergasting experiment in publishing hubris, Monograph charts the art and literary world's increasing tolerance for the language of the empathetic doodle directly through the work of one of its most esthetically constipated practitioners. Arranged chronologically with all thoughtful critical and contemporary discussion common to the art book genre jettisoned in favor of Mr. Ware's unchecked anecdotes and unscrupulous personal asides, the author-as-subject has nonetheless tried as clearly and convivially as possible to provide a contrite, companionable guide to an otherwise unnavigable jumble of product spanning his days as a pale magnet for athletic upperclassmen's' ire up to his contemporary life as a stay-at-home dad and agoraphobic graphic novelist. A must-have collector’s edition of one of the most inspirational and influential chess books ever written.First published in 1969, My 60 Memorable Games offers a rare window into the mind of chess icon Bobby Fischer. It contains Fischer’s objective, honest, and self-critical annotations to games he had won, drawn, and even lost in the period from 1957 to 1967—but from which he also learned valuable lessons.Reading Fischer’s intensely personal commentaries is like going back in time and watching live coverage of his over-the-board battles with the leading players of the day. Soon he would become the greatest of them all.Released in a luxurious new edition for collectors, with foiled cloth binding and an eight-page plate section, this remarkable book is a true insight into one of the most gifted, troubled, and controversial minds of the twentieth century. It is simply one of the most important and influential chess books ever written.
Bobby Fischer (1943–2008) was an American-born chess grandmaster who became famous as a teenager for his phenomenal chess-playing ability. In 1972, at the height of the Cold War, he won the world title from the Russian Boris Spassky in a gripping match in Reykjavík, Iceland, that generated worldwide media interest. Fischer not only played brilliant chess but also raised the game to new levels of professionalism, and his influence is still felt strongly today.

An illustrated history of the most important and exceptional comics of the past 150 years. This comprehensive history of the world’s best comics art includes masterpieces by cartoonists from Richard Felton Outcault in 1896 to Chris Ware today. These comics—populated by meta-humans, hybrids, and superheroes—present imagined fantastical worlds that have attracted generations of devoted fans. A critical reference, this book is also a celebration of the characters who have accompanied readers from their first forays into reading through adolescence, and on into adulthood—from Tarzan to Tintin, Little Nemo to Betty Boop, the Fantastic Four to Batman, the Silver Surfer to Sin City, or the underground comics of Robert Crumb. A motley crew of characters—spandex-wrapped heroes with impossible muscles, hard-boiled detectives in soft hats, emancipated vamps, space-opera acrobats in chain-mail underpants, zombies, and scrawny underground freaks—span all genres of this international art form. Featuring important American and European artists, this broad retrospective decodes the symbolism and artistry of a richly creative form of reading pleasure.
Damien MacDonald is a comic book illustrator and curator who published a graphic novel adaptation of Victor Hugo’s Hunchback of Notre-Dame. His work has been shown in museums and galleries in France, Norway, Belgium, China, and Monaco. He curated the Marginalia exhibition for the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco.
