'Our previous large-scale Game of Thrones statues sold out shortly after release,' Dark Horse Product Development head David Scroggy observed. ' We saw pieces like our fourteen inch Iron Throne replica and the Jon Snow and Ghost statue selling out quickly, becoming hard to find at any price. Winterfell, is located in the center of the northern province of the Seven Kingdoms, on the Kingsroad that runs from King's Landing to the Wall. Beneath Winterfell lie the Stark family crypts, ancient final resting place of the line. The crypts are guarded by carved dire wolves, an unusually large and intelligent species of wolf represented the family's house sigil. We have worked with the production team of Game of Thrones, facilitated by HBO Licensing, to reference the actual prop from the series as the basis for a sculptural set of polystone bookends. Dark Horse Deluxe is joining in the fun by creating a special series of limited-edition statues of vintage Peanuts characters. Inspired by 'syroco' sculptures that were popular in the 1930s and 40s, the ten new statuettes from Dark Horse are designed and manufactured in a style consistent with the earlier figures.
