Writer/artist Jeremy Haun is a prolific, fan-favorite comic book writer and artist who has worked with numerous publishers and characters, ranging from Batman to Captain America to Spawn, in a career spanning 20-plus years. He is best known for creator-owned properties such as The Beauty and The Realm published by Image Comics, and The Red Mother and The Approach, both from BOOM! Studios. He is creative director of Ignition Press and the host of the video podcast Curious Haunts. Jason A. Hurley has been in comic book retail for over two decades, but The Beauty was his first foray into making his own. In addition to comic books, he loves pro wrestling, bad horror movies, Freddie Mercury, hummingbirds, his parents, and pizza. While he’s never actually tried it, he also thinks curling looks like a hell of a lot of fun. Hurley claims his personal heroes are Earl Bassett and Valentine McKee, because they live a life of adventure on their own terms. He also claims that he would brain anyone who showed even the most remote signs of becoming a cannibalistic undead bastard, including his own brother, without a second thought. He’s lived in Joplin, Missouri, for most of his life, and never plans to leave. Soon to be a television series produced and showrunner by Ryan Murphy and premiering on FX this fall, the smash-hit comic The Beauty returns to comic shops with a brand-new volume. Set in a world not unlike our own, The Beauty chronicles what happens when a new sexually transmitted disease begins to spread. And some fan favorite characters from the original series will return, as well. The Beauty is written by co-creators Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley, and this time around they are joined by superstar artist Ema Lupacchino (World’s Finest: Teen Titans) for an intriguing morality play that blends crime, horror, and action for a comic book unlike any other. Writer/artist Jeremy Haun is a prolific, fan-favorite comic book writer and artist who has worked with numerous publishers and characters, ranging from Batman to Captain America to Spawn, in a career spanning 20-plus years. He is best known for creator-owned properties such as The Beauty and The Realm published by Image Comics, and The Red Mother and The Approach, both from BOOM! Studios. He is creative director of Ignition Press and the host of the video podcast Curious Haunts. Jason A. Hurley has been in comic book retail for over two decades, but The Beauty was his first foray into making his own. In addition to comic books, he loves pro wrestling, bad horror movies, Freddie Mercury, hummingbirds, his parents, and pizza. While he’s never actually tried it, he also thinks curling looks like a hell of a lot of fun. Hurley claims his personal heroes are Earl Bassett and Valentine McKee, because they live a life of adventure on their own terms. He also claims that he would brain anyone who showed even the most remote signs of becoming a cannibalistic undead bastard, including his own brother, without a second thought. He’s lived in Joplin, Missouri, for most of his life, and never plans to leave. A former biotechnology researcher, Ema Lupacchino transitioned into comics and has worked on several Italian series, including L'insonne. Alongside her work as a comic book artist, she also illustrated role-playing game manuals. She packs up her mother’s book and heads to the sprawling establishment, but what she finds is a place surrounded by natural wonders that may point the way to understanding the more mysterious parts of her mother’s work…if dark forces don’t claim her first. Inspired by the life of Madame CJ Walker, this alternate history combines tradition with cosmic horror for something truly modern and unique. Stephanie Williams is a research scientist turned prolific comic writer. She’s best known for bringing Nubia back to relevancy for DC Comics with Nubia and the Amazons and Nubia: Queen of the Amazons. Stephanie has worked on titles like Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur: Wreck and Roll, My Little Pony, Alien: Black, White, Blood, and many more. She has two recently announced upcoming releases, Street Sharks with IDW Publishing and the highly anticipated graphic novel adaptation of The Raven Boys. Letizia Cadonici is an Italian comic book artist born in Rome, in 1991. She worked for many Italian comic book publishers, mostly as a horror/gothic artist. Today she works for the US industry, for BOOM! Studios (House of Slaughter, The Neighbors, Hello Darkness) and for several others. She currently works on the new series Minor Arcana by Jeff Lemire (BOOM! Studios), on the Department of Truth spin-off by James Tynion IV (Image Comics), and on upcoming TBA series with Mad Cave Studios.
