His illustrations and cartoons have appeared in National Lampoon, Esquire, and Rolling Stone. Joe: A Real American Hero for Skybound.M.D. "Doc" Bright painted sci-fi paperback covers for Berkley Books as he broke into comics. For 2 decades he drew for Marvel Comics and DC Comics, notably Power Man and Iron Fist, Iron Man, G.I. Joe, Gren Lantern, and Black Panther. A founding contributor to Milestone Media Inc., an innovative superhero imprint focusing on creators and characters of color, he drew nearly the entire run of Icon.
