After seven years of counterterrorism operations with the CIA, Tom King returned to the comics world in a big way. A former intern for both Marvel and DC Comics in college, he came back to co-write the celebrated spy hit Grayson and rework The Omega Men, both at DC. In 2013, he published A Once Crowded Sky with Simon and Schuster, a 336-page tribute to comic-book canon that fused art and prose.
