Rich Koslowski is best known for his fan-friendly comic book series The 3 Geeks (later Geeksville), the recipient of three Eisner Award nominations, and the much-lauded 2002 graphic novel Three Fingers (published by Top Shelf Productions), which won the coveted Ignatz Award for Outstanding Graphic Novel and was named one of the “500 Essential Graphic Novels” by HarperCollins in 2008. His second graphic novel with Top Shelf, The King, was released in 2005 and has been published in multiple foreign languages. In 2007, he wrote his first novel, a Christmas thriller entitled The List. 2008 brought Rich his first writing assignment for Marvel Comics, rebooting their popular character Guardian, now named Weapon Omega. Koslowski’s writing of Weapon Omega was recognized with a Prism Award.In 2010, his third graphic novel with Top Shelf, BB Wolf and the Three LPs, was released, and Koslowski won the Glyph Award for Best Artist. In 2022, he completed his most ambitious graphic novel to date with Top Shelf, the superhero satire F.A.R.M. System. He has worked as a writer and artist for companies such as Marvel, Dark Horse, Bongo, Archie, Boom Studios, DIC, Saban, and many more.

In Amazing Yamaguchi, he is three-dimensionalized in a modern ninja suit style from Ninja Gaiden 2, the main title in the series. His muscular proportions and details inspired by high-tech materials are sculpted with the same precision as in the game. He comes with a variety of weapons used in the game, including the demon-repelling sword Ryuken, which can be unsheathed from the sheath on his back, as well as the Kusarigama, Shuriken, and Hard-Shelled Raptor Claws. Katsuhisa Yamaguchi has put a lot of effort into the movement, such as dividing the side of the chest to allow the shoulders to move forward and backward, and adding joints to the shins to express flexibility. In addition, the wrist parts, such as handles for each weapon and hand gestures for making mudras, are selected in a ninja-like style, allowing you to recreate ninja actions using a variety of weapons!
