esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.

Since his debut in 2002 Nisio has penned more than 50 novels and a number of comics. And he has quickly become one of Japan's top selling author's in recent memory with more than 5 million units sold since 2009. In 2014, as in 2012, he was the top selling author in Japan (outselling Haruki Murakami by more than half a million units).Nishio's works often cover themes of youth, but are framed in genres that are familiar to the masses. His works tend to mix mystery with comedy and touches or romance and/or the supernatural. He is a modern author in every sense, sometimes even experiementing with the Japanese language itself. What separates us from animals? What connects us? Award-winning cartoonists Peter and Maria Hoey probe these mysteries across six surreal and interconnected stories. After tremendous acclaim for their series Coin-Op Comics, two brilliant creators present their first graphic novel: a menagerie of wild tales. Pushing the boundaries of their dazzling and unique narrative style, Animal Stories weaves together six short stories exploring the mysterious relationships between humans and other animals. A girl who keeps pigeons starts receiving messages from a new bird in her flock. A ship's crew rescue a dog, only to find far stranger things in the sea around them. A reincarnated cat with criminal intentions, a parrot who leads a revolution, and a squirrel who tempts a woman in a beautiful garden glade. Drawing inspiration from Aesop's Fables, film noir, and the Old Testament, Peter and Maria Hoey apply their singular and sophisticated visual storytelling to create a new set of modern animal tales for modern times.
Brother and sister artists Peter and Maria Hoey live on opposite coasts but work closely together. Trading drawings back and forth from their studios in Northern California and New York. The Hoeys began writing and drawing comics in Blab! Magazine in the late 1990s, then launched their self-published comic book series, Coin-Op, in 2008. Their 2018 Coin-Op Comics Anthology, published by Top Shelf, earned a starred review from Publishers Weekly. Their self-published comics have been nominated twice for Eisner Awards. Animal Stories is their first full-length graphic novel.

Writer J. Michael Straczynski made pop-culture history with the epic TV series Babylon 5. In 1999, Straczynski penned Top Cow’s Rising Stars, leading to an offer from Marvel to write Amazing Spider-Man, a title he revolutionized. “JMS†went on to write Supreme Power, Fantastic Four, Bullet Points, The Twelve and a fan-favorite revival of Thor. The latter helped inspire Marvel’s Thor feature film, on which he shares a writing credit. JMS’ screenplay for Changeling was directed by Clint Eastwood and starred Angelina Jolie, while his other movie credits include Underworld: Awakening and World War Z. For DC Comics, he has written iconic characters Superman and Wonder Woman.Peter David is one of the industry’s most prolific and versatile writers whose record-breaking stint on Incredible Hulk remains a fan-favorite to this day. His similarly long-running — and critically acclaimed — association with X-Factor began in the early 1990s and continued in 2005 and 2014. His other Marvel work includes Captain Marvel, two lengthy stints on Spider-Man 2099, Ben Reilly: Scarlet Spider and the smash-hit Symbiote Spider-Man limited series and its sequels with artist Greg Land. David is also a novelist and screenwriter. Among his credits are some forty Star Trek tie-ins; original novels such as Sir Apropos of Nothing, Howling Mad and Knight Life; movies Trancers 4 and Trancers 5; and episodes of Babylon 5 and Crusade. He also co-created the TV show Space Cases with actor-writer Bill Mumy.Hollywood writer Reginald Hudlin launched his career with the blockbuster House Party; his follow-up Boomerang grossed more than $150 million. Hudlin developed Bebe’s Kids, the first mainstream animated feature film aimed at African-American audiences, and served as BET’s President of Entertainment. In 2005, Hudlin wrote Birth of a Nation, a satirical graphic novel produced with Boondocks creator Aaron McGruder and award-winning cartoonist Kyle Baker. A longtime Marvel fan, Hudlin jumped at the opportunity to write Black Panther, as well as a run on Marvel Knights Spider-Man.Artist Mike Deodato Jr. was already a renowned illustrator in his native Brazil when he got his big break in American comics in 1994, illustrating DC’s Wonder Woman. For Marvel, he drew such series as Avengers, Elektra, Spider-Man and Incredible Hulk. After refining his inimitable style on the creator-owned Jade Warriors, he returned to Marvel for a second turn on Incredible Hulk, with writer Bruce Jones, and a stint on J. Michael Straczynski’s Amazing Spider-Man. Deodato has forged an association with the Avengers on various titles — including collaborations with Brian Michael Bendis, Ed Brubaker and Jonathan Hickman — and demonstrated his superstar status on the event book Original Sin. Deodato joined writer Jeff Lemire in exploring one of Marvel's greatest villains in Thanos. The late Mike Wieringo established himself as one of the leading artists in the comic-book industry with his work with writer Mark Waid on DC’s Flash during a run that included the debut of Impulse. Wieringo’s continued collaboration with Waid brought him to Fantastic Four in 2002; the pair kicked off their tenure with a history-making nine-cent first issue. Wieringo’s ability to translate dynamic action to the comic-book page made him uniquely suited to launch Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man in 2005 with writer Peter David.Pat Lee is best known for bringing the look and feel of Japanese anime to American comics. He provided artwork for the Marvel Knights Spider-Man chapters of “The Other†crossover.

“Light novels have not been my thing, [...] but reading Katanagatari was as close to a conversion experience as I’m likely to come. It also stands as, to date, a go-to example for how to translate a work of popular culture where a good half or more of it would be lost in translation.” - Ganriki.orgSwordless “swordsman” Shichika and self-described “schemer” Togame are on a quest to obtain twelve peculiar masterpiece blades. Classically trained at New York’s prestigious High School of Art and Design, Jimmy Palmiotti began his career as a comic-book inker, gaining a reputation as not only talented, but fast. Collaborating with fellow artist Joe Quesada, Palmiotti lent his skills to such projects as Batman: Sword of Azrael, The Ray and Ninjak. In 1995, Palmiotti and Quesada founded Event Comics, creating the memorable titles Ash and Painkiller Jane. This led to an offer from Marvel Comics to revamp several heroes under the Marvel Knights banner. With writer Kevin Smith and Quesada, Palmiotti’s work on Daredevil became a monumental success. Palmiotti later began to take on comic-book writing chores with a lengthy run on Harley Quinn along with his creator-owned books. After co-creating Image Comics’ Hyperkinetic with Howard M. Shum, Matteo Scalera moved to Marvel to pencil and ink issues of Deadpool Corps, Deadpool Team-Up and related titles before shifting to such team books as Secret Avengers and Wolverine & the X-Men. At Boom! His Hercules limited series cast the Avenger as a reality-TV star reliving his twelve trials, continuing the lighthearted legacy of Olympus’ favorite son. Tieri’s Underworld and Civil War: War Crimes explored the effects of the heroes’ registration fight on Marvel’s criminal element. World War Hulk: Gamma Corps followed the next generation of gamma-irradiated superhumans as they sought to kill the Hulk. And Dark Reign: Lethal Legion charted the crash-and-burn exploits of an ad hoc team of bad guys as they vainly sought to topple Norman Osborn from power. Tieri, whose Marvel credits also includes New Excalibur, explored Weirdworld in the pages of Black Knight.Artist Darick Robertson illustrated all sixty issues of Transmetropolitan with writer Warren Ellis. In the Fury limited series for Marvel, Robertson and Garth Ennis presented a graphically realistic vision of what it means to be the leader of the world’s biggest spy organization. He and Ennis next collaborated on the Marvel Knights Punisher series and later launched the controversial creator-owned series The Boys, now a smash-hit streaming series. In addition to his lengthy run on New Warriors, Robertson’s other Marvel credits include Wolverine, Nightcrawler and Toxin. After his start on Action Force and Transformers for Marvel UK, Anthony Williams penciled Marvel’s Squadron Supreme: New World Order one-shot, Hokum and Hex (a Clive Barker creation), and DC’s Fate. Hi other Marvel credits include Deadpool and Weapon X. Jeanty demonstrated his flair for media tie-in work as the artist for the comic-book continuation of the beloved TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, a skill set he utilized to great effect on Marvel’s adaptation of Star Wars: The Mandalorian. In addition to Deadpool, multitalented penciler, inker and writer Jim Calafiore has worked on many issues of Exiles during its lengthy run, and has an extensive list of credits for both Marvel and DC Comics.
