Dave Wielgosz is a comic book writer who was born and raised in Holyoke, Massachusetts, currently living in Los Angeles. Showdown, co-created and drawn by Tadd Galusha, is his first long-form creator-owned project. Prior to this he wrote 2021’s Man-Bat drawn by artist Sumit Kumar and contribute+D9d stories to comic book anthologies including Batman: The Brave & The Bold, EC’s Cruel Universe, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Black White & Green, Hello Darkness, and Superman: Man of Tomorrow. Tadd Galusha is a Pacific Northwest comic creator currently operating in “the last frontier” of Alaska. A Kubert alum, he spent his early days in the industry working alongside artist legends Steve Lieber and Ron Randall in the Portland, Oregon comic scene. After cutting his teeth on TMNT, Godzilla, and the like, 2019 marked a breakout year with the release of his prehistoric epic and first creator-owned graphic novel, Cretaceous. Tadd has since been walking the line of independent and mainstream comics, working on various titles while on occasion dipping in and contributing visual elements to film and commercial projects. He is currently collaborating with writer Dave Wielgosz and the amazing Ignition Press team, providing interior line art on their new creator-owned series Showdown.

A haunting tale from Stephanie Williams (Nubia & the Amazons) and Letizia Cadonici (House of Slaughter). At the turn of the 20th century, a young Black woman named Etta picks up the tradition of her late mother for creating special medicines using natural ingredients and secrets handed down from generation to generation. Her mother has passed on a book of recipes and formulas, but it’s also full of strange symbols and dark musings that she doesn’t quite understand. Within her community, one of the problems she hopes to fix is counteracting the poisonous and abrasive solutions Black women and girls are sold for straightening their hair. So, when the Meridian Fellowship reaches out and offers her a spot at their institute in Savannah, GA, to use their facilities to do her research, Etta jumps at the chance. She packs up her mother’s book and heads to the sprawling establishment, but what she finds is a place surrounded by natural wonders that may point the way to understanding the more mysterious parts of her mother’s work…if dark forces don’t claim her first. Inspired by the life of Madame CJ Walker, this alternate history combines tradition with cosmic horror for something truly modern and unique. All the B variants for the series will feature a cover by series artist Cadonici and colorist Alessandro Santoro!

She’s best known for bringing Nubia back to relevancy for DC Comics with Nubia and the Amazons and Nubia: Queen of the Amazons. Stephanie has worked on titles like Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur: Wreck and Roll, My Little Pony, Alien: Black, White, Blood, and many more. She has two recently announced upcoming releases, Street Sharks with IDW Publishing and the highly anticipated graphic novel adaptation of The Raven Boys. Letizia Cadonici is an Italian comic book artist born in Rome, in 1991. She worked for many Italian comic book publishers, mostly as a horror/gothic artist. Tini Howard is best known as the creator of Marian Heretic and the author of several books for DC Comics, including the recent hit Sirens: Love Hurts. Previously she was an original architect of the 2019 Krakoan Age of X-Men, for which she received a GLAAD Award nomination. She lives and writes with her husband Blake in Los Angeles, where they enjoy feeding stray cats. Amilcar Pinna began his career as a comic artist in 2008, drawing X-Men: First Class with Roger Cruz. Since then, he also worked on Generation X, All New Ultimates, The Cryos, Eternal Blue: A Spiritbox Graphic Novel, and Galactic, among other publications. Amanda Grazini is an illustrator, colorist and comic artist from Brazil. Unfortunately, interested parties want her back in their care, and they are sending goons in hazmat suits. Led by Jono, her one-time nurse and potential love interest, they’re offering her a spot in a private medical facility run by Jono's parents. Val isn’t one for institutions, however, and what some may see as a safe haven, she sees as a prison— and who wants to be trapped in a prison, when you're already trapped in your own body? Writer Tini Howard (Marian Heretic, X-Men) teams up with artist Amilcar Pinna (X-Men: First Class, Galactic) and colorist Amanda Grazini (Creepshow, The Cryos) for their new series Sicko, a surreal story perfect for fans of Doom Patrol and mutant adventures of all kinds.

Tini Howard is best known as the creator of Marian Heretic and the author of several books for DC Comics, including the recent hit Sirens: Love Hurts. Previously she was an original architect of the 2019 Krakoan Age of X-Men, for which she received a GLAAD Award nomination. She lives and writes with her husband Blake in Los Angeles, where they enjoy feeding stray cats. Amilcar Pinna began his career as a comic artist in 2008, drawing X-Men: First Class with Roger Cruz. Since then, he also worked on Generation X, All New Ultimates, The Cryos, Eternal Blue: A Spiritbox Graphic Novel, and Galactic, among other publications. Amanda Grazini is an illustrator, colorist and comic artist from Brazil. She has worked with children and editorial illustration since 2006, and in 2013 she worked on Pink Daiquiri, a graphic novel for the French publisher Le Lombard. More recently, working in the US comics industry with Amilcar Pinna, she drew and colored covers on The Cryos, a Kickstarter-funded comic, and also colored Amilcar's art for a short story on Creepshow Vol.4 #3 from Skybound.
