esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.

John Romita Sr is as synonymous with Marvel as is Stan Lee. Stan was definitely the writer and visionary of the Marvel Universe, but Jazzy John was the ultimate catcher to all of Stan's pitches. Arguably the most important contributor to Marvel canon with Jack Kirby, and arguably the definitive Spider-Man artist, John Romita has left his mark creating, defining and/or designing some of Marvel's most, well, marvelous characters. From being (in our humble opinion) the definitive Spider-Man artist to helping design many of Marvel's major characters from Wolverine and the Punisher to Spider-Woman, The Kingpin and so many more. And, though it was Stan Lee and Steve Ditko who co-created Spider-Man and Peter Parker, and helped us love the boy with the problems we all grew up with, it was Jazzy John who allowed Peter to grow up and have the same problems many had growing up, and glamorized Peter Parker and rounded out his stable of characters from Gwen Stacy and Harry Osborne, and who also gave us the unbelievable entrance by Mary Jane Watson, showing us just how Peter had hit the jackpot! And John Romita Jr. has also created a rich body of work that few can follow in his feet. Having outgrown the shadow of his father early in his career, John Romita Jr. has shown the world why he is 'Mr. Marvel'. From his early days working with Bob Layton on the Iron Man issues featuring the controversial issues of Tony Stark's alcoholism, to his jump to stardom in the early '90's on the Uncanny X-Men (almost a decade after his first stint on the Uncanny X-Men with Chris Claremont), to his unbelievable work on Daredevil: Man Without Fear with Frank Miller and Al Williamson, John proved that he was one of only a few artists who can shine working with a master such as Frank Miller. Moving in to the new millennium, John's work on Thor was nothing short of amazing, as well as working on Daredevil with Ann Nocenti and Al Williamson. But nothing has been more tailor made for John Jr's art than Marvel's flagship title - Spider-Man! His return on Peter Parker, Spider-Man proved that he was Marvel's best choice for a Spider-Man artist, and when Joe Michael Straczynski took hold of Marvel's flagship title, it was John Jr's art that made the great stories shine as well as they did! One thing that's kept John's art fresh is his ability to move from character to character. It definitely is bitter sweet to see John run around the Marvel Universe on characters such as The Eternals (with Neil Gaiman), proving that once again, John Jr. is the artists artist who can tackle such great projects, and even on his run on the World War Hulk (yes, Hulk does indeed Smash!), one is mesmerized by his incredible artwork. What's amazing is, that as of this writing, John Romita Jr. will be returning to Amazing Spider-Man #568, and this fan, Nick Barrucci, President of Dynamic Forces, feels the excitement and energy to his return. These are the things that we live for in comics. It's rare to know when a series is going to be great because a great artist is working on it. We are fortunate to be on the ground floor, again, but the anticipation is something that will only be quenched with the first read of a series that will be great. The Romitas are one of the few royal families in comics. If you haven't had a chance to fully appreciate their work, here's your chance. It's a fun ride. I hope you enjoy it as much as we have in putting this book together! With an introduction by Alex Ross and an afterword by Stan 'The Man' Lee, this hard cover book is perfect for every Spider-Man fan young and old! (immagine) Categoria: Books: novel/sci fi/horror

A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese import! Sister Princess is a long-running bishoujo series consisting of light novels, manga, video games, and anime. One of the most popular characters from that series is now the first in Kotobukiya's new series of bishoujo figures that celebrate the classic character types in Japanese manga and anime, the 'Legend Girls.' KAHO is the definition of the 'imouto-kei' or sister type, an archetype seen in many Japanese stories. Clumsy and cheerful, the pretty cheerleader is known for addressing her brother as 'Onii-chama.' Originally released as a garage kit in 2003, the legendary character is back and better than ever with coloring true to the anime series. Kaho wears her brightly colored school uniform, standing poised on the toes of her right foot. Blown by soft wind, the pretty girl's patterned skirt and brown silky hair flow naturally. The checkered skirt was the biggest hassle for painters of the garage kit, but no more! The detail work on Kaho is excellent, from her pretty face down to the laces on her tennis shoes and the intricate paint work on her skirt. 'Moe' lovers will especially appreciate the space between her body and school uniform. Standing 7 inches tall (in 1/7th scale), Kaho was sculpted by Hide and is constructed of high-quality pvc plastic. Scheduled to ship in February 2010. (immagine) Categoria: Toys and models

Calamity Jane and the stories surrounding her are famous, but this graphic novel for young readers 8 and up is here to tell the story of Martha Jane Canary—the real-life survivor, orphan, and storyteller behind the legend. In 1901, the Pan-American Exposition World's Fair was held in Buffalo, New York. Amongst spectacles like advancements in electricity and new inventions like the X-ray machine is a woman with a story—but not the one you’ve heard. Calamity Jane’s life is shrouded in exaggerations and lies told to sell a more marketable version of reality, but cartoonist Noah Van Sciver is here to tell the truth: Martha Jane Cannary struggled throughout her life, from her childhood as a destitute orphan to her bitter adulthood as she watched the West she loved disappear before her eyes.
Noah Van Sciver is a multiple award-winning cartoonist who first came to comic readers’ attention with his critically acclaimed, Eisner-nominated comic book series Blammo. His work has appeared in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the Best American Comics, Kramers Ergot, as well as countless graphic anthologies. Van Sciver was a regular contributor to MAD Magazine and has written and drawn numerous bestselling graphic novels including Joseph Smith and the Mormons, One Dirty Tree, Saint Cole and the Fante Bukowski: Struggling Writer series for Fantagraphics books. In 2015 he was the Artist in Residence/fellow at The Center for Cartoon Studies in White River Junction, Vermont. His books and comics are translated into more than 6 different languages around the world.

A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese Import! Based on 2007's PlayStation 2 game and the latest in the 'Shining' series of over-18 games and an anime series 'Shining Wind' comes an all-new version of the beautiful heroine, XECTY GODDESS OF WIND! One of Baelgard's four guardians, Xecty is an artificial life form created by Hiruda from Celestia's genetic material. While previous versions of the clone have appeared in various military regalia, this new one celebrates Xecty as a goddess of nature. Based on the cover art illustration of 'Tony's Art Works from Shining Wind,' Xecty is the second in a sub-series of 1/6th-scale goddesses following Elwin Goddess of the Forest. The radiant beauty gracefully rises up out of a flowing windy base, appearing to float in the air. Xecty is posed with her arms above her head, highlighting the curves of her body. The goddess wears nothing but a tiny bikini-like garment that resembles translucent white ribbon and leaves little to imagination. As her hair flows down behind her, Xecty's long ears and the white angel wings protruding from her head sweep backwards, away from her serenely attractive face. Sculpted by Hirotoshi Nakamura, Xecty is 12 1/2' tall (1/6-scale) and comes packaged in an attractive window box. (immagine) Categoria: Toys and models
