Charles Schulz's Peanuts has won acclaim as one of the most popular comic strips of all time. Dark Horse Deluxe is joining in the fun by creating a special series of limited-edition statues of vintage Peanuts characters. Inspired by 'syroco' sculptures that were popular in the 1930s and 40s, the ten new statuettes from Dark Horse are designed and manufactured in a style consistent with the earlier figures. Last month we offered the first statue in the series, Charlie Brown, and this month we feature the second statue-bossy, crabby and selfish Lucy Van Pelt. Produced in a limited edition of hand-numbered copies, the figure is fully painted and ready to display. Joining the initial release, Superman, is none other than Batman. The sculpting and packaging design is inspired by the art style of original Batman creator Bob Kane, and echoes the look and feel of his first comic-book appearances.
